You tell Inari to shoot his crossbow. He quickly changes back to his kitsune form. "I can't just... um..." He fumbles around, searching for his crossbow. "Where is... Ah!" He pulls it from a distinctly different place than you remember him last having it.
You boot the bubble at Alice. She pauses to confirm it's not the Mismagius again before she changes her attack target from you to the bubble. Her burst of air launches it further into the air. Inari fires. The bubble explodes. Over everyone.
There's a lull in the fighting as everyone is coated with gum. It's inconvenient and slows everyone down - and it's definitely worse for the furrier people. The orange cat who was originally on your side and is now kind of neutral managed to avoid the worst of it. The deathgoyle's wings aren't working very well now, and now it's stuck on the ground. The cat, the only one not distracted, continues to slice away at it. It's unable to land a blow with its scythe.
"...The ghosts like to rearrange my stuff," Inari explains.
Everyone seems to have recovered from the noise, but now everyone's slow.
"What's going on in here?" Somnis asks from the doorway. She's unaffected by the gum. "There was a really loud noise..."

"Oh." Somnis holds up her key and takes her otherworld form. Then she disappears.
Alice swaps her weapon to the arcfire tome. She has to tug it off forcefully.
Everyone gets back to being ready to fight.

Bite off a gum glob, slip off the shoes so I can move without him holding me down, forward roll next to Alice, and stick gum in the pages of her book.

You ditch the shoes which helps a little bit, so long as you don't step in any of the gum patches on the ground. You slap some gum in Alice's tome. It stops her from reading it. She gets annoyed and chucks the book at your head. Ow.
Ranulf scratches the bear again, and again. The bear finally manages to land a hit and sends him flying, but Ranulf rolls right back up. The Mismagius shoots a wave of flames at him, inflicting him with Burn.
Ansei finally manages to finish casting a spell. A ray of moonlight concentrates focuses to strike Alice. She screams and tries to jump out of the light, but the gum slows her down and she takes a lot of damage. The monk lays a hand on her shoulder and heals her.
"Not fair!" Inarsei yells.
The pixie lands and focuses on getting the gum off her wings.
The deathgoyle finally gives up with the spear. He grabs the orange cat and chucks it towards the edge of the arena.

Alice switches to Thoron.

Take Thoron out of her hands and give her a mighty clonk on the back of the head to knock her out. Also, kick the monk in the dick. Unedit Alice.

You start playing tug-of-war with Alice's tome. But she's pretty strong, for a mage... She doesn't let you just take it. When the monk tries to intercede, you try to kick him in the crotch. Between the pulling and the kicking, you're pretty off-balance. Your dick kick wouldn't have been very effective, even if the monk weren't a lady. The monk punches you, then Alice shoves you onto your butt and kicks you in the side of the head. The deathgoyle slashes the monk in the back before she can follow-up on you.
Ranulf picks himself up and charges the bear again. He stops short, and Levi leaps off his back. Levi transforms as he flips over the bear's head, tossing a pair of knives into his shoulders. The bear roars and goes to chase after Levi. Ranulf leaps at his back, only for the pixie to zap him with lightning and throw off his attack. The Mismagius fires a Shadow ball at Levi while he's off-balance from landing, sending him skidding towards the bear who slaps him. Hard.
The taguel blindsides Ansei, tackling him. The pair go rolling through the grass. "Ow-ow-ow! Get off!"
The taguel yelps and suddenly looks drowsy.
Somnis continues to do nothing. The orange cat sits in the grass and observes. You're not sure whose side it's on at this point.

Kick up onto feet. Pomf face with tail. Take Arcwind, which isn't being used right now. Recite incantation to blow away enemies.

Kitty used Tail Whip! It's moderately effective. Alice, in the middle of reciting an incantation, gets a facefull of fur. She stops mid-word to spit it out. You snatch the Arcwind tome off Alice's belt and start reciting it. You end up in a race to out-recite her. Your incantation's simpler, but she has a lot more practice. You finish almost simultaneously. You push her and the monk back. It throws off her aim just enough that she only grazes you instead of landing a direct hit. The shock's still almost enough to knock you out.
The monk steps back and heals Alice.
Ansei disengages from the now-sleeping Taguel, using his agility to slip through and get behind you. He starts reciting his own incantation, then bops you on the back of the head. You feel much better, but not 100%.
Ranulf and the bear both run out of energy, reverting to their human forms. The bear runs up and punches Ranulf, who kicks him in return.
Levi shifts back into his cat form and goes after the pixie. He manages to grab her, but she punches him in the nose. He mrows and lets her go, shuffling back quickly. "How can something that small hit that hard!?"
The Mismagius starts shaking the taguel awake.
Ranulf and Levi are starting to get tired and worn down... Ansei's relatively OK, but still hurt.
The orange cat saunters over and flops down on the unconscious Awkward. It curls up to continue to observe.
"Hey, whose side am I supposed to join?" a female voice calls from the door. That sleepy crow lady is standing there. "The three cats and the white fox, right?"

"YES. THAT WOULD BE REALLY NICE. THANK YOU." Glance over at Ansei. "We can't keep going like this. Take out the monk so he can't heal Alice. I can handle her."
Step back and cast Arcwind as if it's going to hit Alice, but hit a nearby gum wad instead to launch it right into her. That should get her to chill out.

"Ugh." Sonja sighs loudly. For an obnoxiously long time. "Leilah's not here. Fine, I'll do it myself." She wraps herself in her wings, then transforms into a bird. She dives at the monk. She claws and pecks at him. The monk shifts back, throwing a few punches between the attacks. More importantly, she's separated from Alice.
Ansei ditches you and heads to heal Ranulf. Ranulf and the bear continue to kick and punch each other in their human forms.
The pixie zaps Levi with lightning. "Dammit, I'm at my limit... Sorry." He makes a break for the door, dodging past the deathgoyle as he retreats.
The taguel refuses to wake up. The Mismagius reels back and slaps him. Hard. The bunny starts to stir.
You try to launch more gum at Alice. It doesn't work quite like you expect. The wad you try to shoot just kind of explodes, coating her in some not-so-useful dots of gum. She's never going to get it out of her hair, but it's not slowing her down much. More importantly, you knock her off balance and she steps in a big wad of gum. When she tries to pull away, she finds her foot is hopelessly stuck. She's limited to moving in a very small area now.
She aims at you and blasts you with a burst of Thoron. You take a lot of damage, but manage to not get blasted into a puddle of gum.
The cat seems to be gnawing on Awkward's ear as it watches the fight... So much for that thing being helpful.
The next figures to appear at the door are that rabbit pugilist, the boxer bun, and Giant General Pik Pik. "For the colony!" Pik Pik yells as he charges in. The bunny looks around, trying to decide who to attack. She really seems to be considering Ansei.

Ugh. This is getting too hard to manage.

"Have at you, beast!" Giant General Pik-Pik starts swatting at the pixie. She starts kicking back at him. The two seem to be nearly evenly matched, strength-wise.
The Boxer Bun runs past everyone to challenge the monk. Sonja's fine to let her have it and flies off. The two of them are exchanging a flurry of punches while screaming. The bunny has a clear advantage.
Ansei shifts back. Finally there's enough going on that he has a few minutes to catch his breath a bit. He starts muttering a spell in the corner. The orange cat decides Awkward isn't very tasty and stops gnawing on him. It watches Ansei curiously.
Sonja goes after the taguel. She tackles him from the side, slashing him as he runs back into the fight. The taguel leaps at him, faster than she expected. She retreats higher into the sky, but he surprises her by leaping right after her and kicking her. She goes falling out of the sky and crashes into the ground, ending up with gum stuck in her feathers.
The bear goes to help Alice, resuming his beast form. Ranulf jumps on his back, clawing at his shoulders. The bear roars and futilely tries to pull him off his back.
You try bashing Alice in the face with a tome. She doesn't expect it, and you land a hit that nearly knocks her off her feet. She tries to cast a spell, but you swing again. And again. She starts blocking with her own tome.
The two of you are now swinging books at each other. Alice continues to prove herself much stronger than the average mage, landing a few weak hits for every one you land. You still have the advantage, considering she can't retreat or advance much.
The Mismagius shoots a Shadow Ball into your back, giving Alice a chance to bash you on the head. The Deathgoyle slashes the Mismagius, then turns his attention to the monk and boxer.
Two new figures appear at the door. One is the farmer-sheep. He seems ready to join in the fight. The other is the old-lady white fox Inari that you didn't take before. She quickly scans the room. "V-Vine!? Alice!?" She quickly shifts into her fox form. Eight tails join her true one. Flames erupt from her mouth as she roars at you. "GET AWAY FROM MY GRANDDAUGHTER!"
