Alarms start going off in Ranulf's head. "Um. Right. Well. I'm just... going to go. This way." He retreats though the only door and turns left.

You appear in a room with several security monitors. The portal behind you shows a picture of a computer.
Four people are in the room.
An unremarkable brown-haired, brown-eyed middle school girl. There is absolutely nothing interesting about her.
A guy with red-tinted skin and horns. A tail pokes out of his business suit.
Another brown-haired guy in a tuxedo worn over light metal armor. He's carrying a spear.
And a guy who is completely encased in metal armor. He's HUGE.
And then you notice a 5th. A chair spins around to reveal a raven-haired woman in a white business suit, black glasses, and black high heels.
They all stare at you.
You notice a letter addressed 'Awkward' sitting on a computer next to white-suit lady.

"The access code is in the briefing room."
"The pixie's daughter is on an alien planet."
You can kind of guess what one of those four things means...
"Who, may I ask, are you?" white suit asks.
"La Rena..." La Rena says.

"I can fight... If I have to," La Rena says. She pumps her fist in the most unenthusiastic way possible, transitioning to a yawn and stretch mid-motion.

As you leave, the woman in white calls after you. "We're watching on the security monitors, so you probably won't die. Probably."
You follow the signs to the main lobby. It comes into view at the end of one last corridor with a high ceiling. Two bats with human-sized heads and HUMAN FACES come swooping down to attack you.
La Rena readies her bow. "Running would be really tiring... But so is fighting... Hmmmm..."

"Just kill them dead! La Rena- play it by ear, but help out my partner on the same foe. News kid, you still gotta listen to my orders."
Tab attacks one enemy by pulling out otherworldly rolled-up newspapers from his bag, tossing them. Awkward focuses on the other enemy, creating a sniper rifle and trying to aim for the ugly head from afar.

Tab chucks some papers at the bats while Awkward takes shots at the other. La Rena fires arrows in clusters of three. With only two bats, you take them out before they can close in.
You head into the main lobby. It's really nice. Marble floors, opulent rug, giant columns... Two secretaries sit at a desk in the center. One is a greying blonde, wearing a proper grey business suit. The other has lavender hair and is in a pink-and-purple tutu.
You get the distinct impression they hate each other. Not, like, a mild dislike. A deep-rooted hatred that could boil over at any moment. And only professionalism is keeping them from literally murdering each other.
A portal archway is in here, but it seems to be inactive for some reason.
A bay of elevators sitting in the back go to the CEO's room, board room, and something called Alice's room.
