Weird Factory?

Mallard

The robot's eyes flash and it suddenly moves. You're now acutely aware of just how giant it is. And how pointy its claws are. It bends down to look more menacing. "Oi, and what do we have here? A li'l duck fit to be sliced and roasted?" It flexes its claws.

The half-orc and Harland come through the portal and see the thing standing over you. Harland subtly shifts into a fighting stance. The half-orc stares around the room, slack-jawed.

The two other in the room both turn and stare in surprise.

Sure.
Probably.
Iunno.
Yes.

Mallard

You summon Toadetta, who starts explaining to the big scary robot how to say please and thank you. He yells obscenities and mashes his way through the conversation.

But you have a few seconds, at least.

"We don't need help?" the younger of the guys looking at armor says. "We're just checking this stuff out."

"It's really impressive. If I can figure out how to emulate this design, then..." the older one starts rambling.

You step away from the robot. The instant he finishes the tutorial, he swipes at where you were standing with giant, razor-sharp claws. He's bigger than the half-orc, metal... and extremely pissed off at you. "NASTY LI'L BUGGER! I'M GONNA FRY YOU UP! AND SERVE YOU WITH A NICE RED WINE!"

...The half-orc begins to stare at you. His mouth is watering...

Running might be a good idea. There's a door out of here leading down a metallic staircase. The portal's also here.

You proceed through the door and down the stairs as fast as you can.  Harland follows behind you.  So does the robot, but he slams into the door frame.  He sticks his arm through flailing after you.  "Yeah, run, ya bloody coward!"

You find yourself in a machine shop full of all sorts of industrial equipment.  Presses, lathes, buzzsaws.  Other scary things.  A man with very little hair and several missing teeth is wearing blue overalls and wandering among the machines.  He's showing around a teenage guy who's walking around with a camera.  The man explains a machine, the kid nods and takes a picture, then they move on.  "And this here crushinator crushes anything what you go done put in it right in half real easy like so don't go stickin' anythin' in it.  And this here drill-y-do..."

You see a portal in here.  It has a picture of an alien planet floating in space.  It looks vaguely like earth.

Stairs lead up to the armor display.  A set of stairs on the opposite side of the room head up to a room labeled "Weapons."  One last door leads to something labeled "Meeting Room."

"Well I'm Bo-B," the red neck-looking guy says.

"Jimmy."

"And I dunno where we dun end up after that there quake. I 'sume we're somewhere in th' complex but I can't raise Frien' 'Puter none."
