Crow bobs his head between you, Dandy, and the pixies.

Hezaki finds a tree with its trunk sliced in half, and a hollow hole at the top.  He hears giggling nearby.


Ansei (Inari) finally finishes digging around in his bag.  "Ugh, pixie hunting?  What a pain."  He pulls out a ceramic jar covered in cloth wrapping and a shallow dish.  He unstops the jar and pours some clear liquid into the dish.

The pixie on Kitty's shoulder snaps its fruit slice in half and gives some to the other.

Ansei finishes drinking, closes the bottle, and puts everything back in his pack.  Then he turns to the pixies.  He makes a few motions with his hands.  "Let's just do this the easy way."  Sparks and flame start to surround him as he walks forward, slowly and menacingly.  A snarl spreads across his face.  "Tell me where the rest of your little friends are, or I'll gobble you all up!"

The pixies both throw their fruit in the air, scream, and grab each other.

"And do you have a better plan than wandering around for hours?" Ansei asks.

You notice a nearby ring of a dozen rocks around a patch of flowers, except one rock has been moved several feet to the side.

You pick up the rock.

Yep, that's a rock.

You examine the flowers. You can't find anything, but you notice they've been disturbed recently.

"Ugh, there's some kind of low-level enchantment on that fairy ring," Ansei says. "It's like a dungeon. It should dissolve if you figure out the puzzle. Or I could just fry it."

The pixies seem to have calmed down somewhat, but they're still nervous as they follow you.

Kitty, Dantalian

Kitty summons the husky puppy.  You have it sniff the pixies to catch their scent - they really don't like that - then you set it down.  It turns and starts sniffing around the area.  Then it starts barking at the patch of flowers.

"Oh, for..."  Ansei walks over and forcefully takes the rock from you.  He sets it in position to complete the ring of stones around the flowers.  Another pixie pops out of nowhere.

"Ya-ha-ha!  You found me!" she says.  She latches onto Ansei's tail.  The dog continues to yap at it.

Ansei gives you both a smug look.

The puppy sniffs around a bit, then starts heading towards a small grove.

Inside the grove, you see two large patches of flowers on either side.

On the left, you see flowers are red, red, red, blue, purple, red, purple.

On the right, you see the flowers are purple, purple, red, blue, red.

The puppy says there's a pixie nearby.
