I repeatedly slam the fox into things until it stops moving, and call out loudly that I've completed the quest. I don't like being cold.
Tilaran, if she can find her way, makes her way back to the Quest Board. She knows that I can teleport out if necessary, and there's no easy way to contact me.

You start slamming the fox into things while screaming that the mission's done. The pixies don't seem particularly interested in coming to join the fight, though.
The fox proves to be surprisingly resilient. After smashing it against a half-dozen trees, it continues to flail about. With a loud cracking sound and a fox's yip, the air around you snap-crystallizes, blasting you with shards of ice. It's very painful.

I repeatedly slam him headfirst into a rock, then pick up the shards of ice telekinetically, and slash him with them.

You slam the fox some more until it loses consciousness, but not before it blasts you with another burst of ice magic. That black aura remains around its body.
Which route is Tilly taking to get back? Through the church or the plains?

You continue to hold the unconscious fox.
The pixies begin to trickle back into the surrounding area, chattering away too excitedly to make out. But they seem to be happy? The larger one with the armor and creepy aura is also there.

You start trying to offer the fox. At first the pixies shriek and retreat, thinking you're threatening them with it. Then one of the bolder ones realizes what you're doing, and a few of them grab it and carry it off.
"Yay! You can pick up your reward at the big board thingy!" the one with the armor tells you.
