You find yourself near the top of a giant (and slightly charred) tree. A small house is built into its trunk near the top, and thick, winding vines make a staircase you could follow to the ground. From here, you can see the trails that wind through the forest very clearly. One heads north, towards what looks like a church. The other heads east, towards some plains. Both of those seem to connect to a sprawling town of stone and wood, complete with a giant castle.
You also see a suspiciously large clearing in the trees to the south, but you don't spot a path that leads to them. You'd have to head into the forest and try to find your own way.

Today's been rough enough without inviting disaster let's head in the opposite direction of that church trees are far less likely to want to banish demons then those who hang out at church

(Also Hezaki is with you, I forgot to mention it after writing so many introductions at once)
You make your way down the tree and into the forest, trying to estimate the direction of that glade-looking thing. As you wander between all the trees, you notice a few shapes darting between the trees. You gradually start to feel more and more turned around, with no sign of the target in sight.

You exit the hut to find a small village with several similar cabins. You also notice the ground is covered in a thin layer of mud... which someone appears to have been playing in. A thick wall of trees surrounds the village, except for an exit to the north.
You almost bump into a slightly muddy Alice as she's reaching for your door.
"Oh! I'm so sorry, sir. I was just coming to check on you... I was starting to worry you wouldn't wake up!"
She reaches out and scratches Crow's neck. He disappears and reappears on your other shoulder.
Alice giggles. "No more of that, little one. Hold still and let me pet you. There's a good bird."
Crow huffs.
"I see your feathered friend is well, if a bit cranky. And your other companion?"

(Ohh I was wondering about that too awkward to do the bit I was going to do now so just going to go with the flow here)
"OK I feel like I've seen that tree at least 11 times I know what to do Imp Trail!" Dantalian decides poofing Imps into existence behind them as they go in order to breadcrumb their way through the woods

"How do you know..." she starts to ask, but lets it go. She closes her eyes. "This place looks like my home, Sefa Village, even if it's empty. And the forest is similar, but... Almost like a forgery. Something... about the spirits. They feel different, somehow. Not evil, per se, and yet... somehow... sinister. I know that probably doesn't make sense, but..."
Alice's eyes snap open as she trails off. "Is your friend OK I'm there? It can't be large enough for him to be comfortable..."
The panicked yowling continues.
Alice gives you a subtly accusatory look.
Dantalian
You look back at your imp trail and notice one vanishing into the trees as several blurry figures swoop over it.
Quiet giggling rings out from all around you.

"It's actually huge. It's a bag of holding." Open the bag. "Inari, are you alright?"

"Inari, are-"
The second you open the bag, it explodes in your face. Fireworks go shooting everywhere. Inari-fox leaps out like a bat out of Hell, yipping wildly. He runs to the edge of the village. "I knew it! You're with them, aren't you!" he yells accusingly.
Dantalian
"So stop summoning imps in our forest!" A tiny pixie suddenly appears. She shoots a bolt of lightning at the nearest imp, then turns and starts hovering inches from your face, hands on her hips.
"Yeah!" A half-dozen more are flitting about. "And stop ignoring us!"
Most of them are wearing small, purple leotards, but the lead pixie is wearing white platemail. She's also surrounded by a bright white aura.
Your orb resonates inside when you look at her...

"What. I don't have time for this. Thanks for the help, Alice." Walk off to the north path with Inari's bag. "When you're done randomly freaking out, you can catch up."

Dantalion looks to Hezaki who just shrugs "Fine but, there's better ways to get someone's attention then giggling at them while hidden" He declares before snapping his fingers banishing the imps back home "Happy?"

"Yes!" the pixie says. "Now we can get back to playing hide-and-seek! You want to find the village, right!?"
Kitty
"Um... You're welcome? You're welcome back anytime!" Alice calls after you. "And if you see any lost laguz, send them my way, OK?"
Inari follows behind you at a distance. "Give me back my stuff..."
You head into the trees. There's no proper path, but you can only assume you should head north. You can kind of see a really tall tree to the northeast and a large castle town to the northwest.

"Castle town sounds promising. You can have your stuff back when you decide to be a good boy." Start walking. "This crow is probably Crow crow because it has his attitude. But I don't think it can talk, so I don't think we can ask it how we get out of here. I'm assuming I'll find the answer if I wander around enough though."
