Since it's an online card game, most likely cards will get re-written instead of banned.
We could have format rotation too, in that only certain sets are balanced to be played against one another, so that allows for some power creep while also curbing it before it gets out of hand.

Yeah, I mean there's no reason to simply delete cards when they aren't printed and we don't need to push a patch.

Normally if cards are too strong, I'll just use a game patch and tweak the card a little so it's slightly weaker without nerfing it into oblivion. I could also always just introduce cards that allow players more options to counter that card without making it directly counter that card, if that makes any sense. For example, if a certain deck type becomes too strong, add a few cards that can help overcome it without garunteeing absolute victory as a total counter, making that deck type a moot point. It takes a lot of work to balance, but it's easier when you can change all the cards with patches.

So when will Vitcards introduce arbitrarily bans and limits? Or summoning methods that makes the previous generation a moot point?

I'm going to avoid banning and limiting cards as much as possible unless I make a card with a limit placed on it at the time of release on purpose because of an effect or something. I'm also not going to be introducing any new summoning methods because I think that's dumb. It takes the focus away from having cool cards and makes older cards useless.
