I'll start the proper summoning around Friday, so anyone not introduced by then will have to settle for being flung off somewhere else in the world map. Emppy chan is it Friday yet?

We got plenty of time before Friday if we want to do some stuff. Maybe even go as far as an actual date or however you want to play it out before they get summoned. Before Morgan can get an answer as too what Julia thought. Boom Soul keys take us to Oz.
We can always play by ear on how far it can go.

It just occurred to me that I'm not familiar with any of the locations or how to write descriptions of them and don't really know what to start planning.

It just occurred to me that I'm not familiar with any of the locations or how to write descriptions of them and don't really know what to start planning. I knew I was forgetting to do something. Yuliea is pretty fantasy land (on a scale of 1-10 it's like a 7), with settlements farther from the capital being more modest. One major city is more Japanese-inspired. Nightingdale is forestry with isolationist elves. Make up whatever for Zelphos. I can be more detailed later..

Like previously Nightingdale is mostly forestry, and it's structures are built upon ancient stone buildings, and you can make anything up for Zelphos. The reason appearances are skeletal (if even) is because in the previous incarnation of the RP, nobody ever visited or described those parts of the world, so I'm leaving it open for people to improvise.
Yuleia is a pretty fantasy land, but nothing too extravagant or exaggerated; houses are made of stone, brick, wood, or other common materials, the road's aren't made of gold, and the castle doesn't glow in the dark. Technology level is only slightly behind modern era, but everything is powered via magic instead of electricity, and automated modes of transportation like automobiles aren't widely available for civilian use (even gas is expensive nowadays) so caravans, horseback, and walking are still considered the norm. The capitol of St. Elne, and most of the larger settlements, have their towns protected by large stone perimeter walls. Civilian fashion mostly draws from medieval-fantasy-esque fashion, though elements of modern clothing exist (leather/denim jackets, sunglasses, etc.). Armed patrols wandering the settlements are common and not looked at negatively. The local vegetation away from civilization is pretty to look at.
The ritual chamber is a regular-ass, octagonal stone room, lit by lamps installed by the walls, and aside from an air vent and the rune on the floor, there's nothing special about it.
Kiribo, having once been an independent nation, is completely different from the rest of Yuleia, drawing from a feudal Japan-esque design. Cherry Blossoms grow all over the place around here.
Yggdrasil is a giant, glowing neon-green tree at the center of the world. It can be seen from most corners of the world.
The land to the west of Oz (between the mountains and the desert) are mostly lawless wastelands, with any settlements coming from nomadic tribes, or wretched bandits trying to claim their lot in the ungoverned part of society; all of the able-bodied factions in Oz being too far away to establish order between the bandits and the ever-present threat of abomination attacks. An underground society is rumored to exist. Best avoided.
Ask HHD for Ephesus.
If you have any more specific questions, ask and I'll do my best to answer.

Question: Instead of using both Mog and Golbez with gen each having different summons, could I just give Mog a larger range of summons including ones I didn't neccesarily control in either Lost Kingdom or The Master (where the versions of Ifrit and Shiva he was going to have came from)? There's a couple of ways I can think of to go about justifying this: 1: In one of the Vitquests I had a crystal that allowed me to summon a random Esper/Eidolon/other name for summons. Given that this technically means the entire set of Final Fantasy Summons are within my database, this would allow me to pick and choose a wider variety of Summons than just two. 2: With permission from Just, provide him card summons of various Eidolon from Lost Kingdom. As a lesser form of Eidolon himself it stands to reason he might have at least some sort of connection to their cards as they're from the same world as him, something that even the other Lost Kingdom characters can't claim. That being said, summons that belong to characters already in the RP would be excluded so they can use them (although he can contribute to the summoning of the Moogle summon in order to power it up). 3: A variation on the second option which also allows Eidolons not seen in the Lost Kingdom games. This would imply that they were always around but simply never showed up in game. They also wouldn't necessarily look the same or be as strong (Megaflare had a habit of destroying the whole town whenever it was used and Ifrit was the size of a volcano), with the explanation being that unlike Mog who can travel through the gate to the human world and maintain his regular form the stronger Eidolons can only manifest avatars of themselves with their strength and form being relative to the proximity of the Eidolon world to the one they're appearing in. This one's a lot further away, so they take on sizes that are still large but not (all) looming over cities with Planet busting power
As for the list of planned summons I'm thinking of going with the following with more added if I think of them. A (New!) following their name means they weren't in Lost Kingdom (or at least I don't remember them). Ifrit, Shiva, Ramuh, Titan, Fenrir (New!), Leviathan, Odin (New, but was specifically confirmed to exist and had a vessel planned for one of the sequels), Valigarmanda (New!), Alexander, Bahamut Will (New-ish, the idea is for the card to only contain a portion of Bahamut's soul as an offshoot so that he's on par with Odin and Valigarmanda and not casually leveling cities and being able to destroy planets at full strength because I think we can all agree I shouldn't have that much power). Either all of these will need to be unlocked through battles against them or at the most Mog will only start with the first three, this gives him a way of growing in strength over the game. As for why I wanted to add two new ones, Fenrir can either act as the replacement Wind summon because Jess has Garuda (I think, I know she had an Eidolon) or as a support-based summon that creates illusions of the party, and Valigarmanda is pure bias as my favorite summon and one that could be interesting for late game as a Fire/Ice/Lightning hybrid summon.

Are all the characters appearing in the same place? I was thinking of having the Visvesvaraya crash land in Zelphos since it sounds like it needs fleshing out/locations of interest, but if we're just all summoned individually to the same place then that would mean the ship would be left behind, and then...
Well, I definitely need to rework literally everything, starting with my character choices.

I don't really think where we end up matters.
I was going to have Bowser and Sonic appear in the ritual room of Yuliessia. Eggman appear in the middle of Esphrius wondering what the hell is going on.
Mario, Catie, and Morgan will appear somewhere in the town area where Lana will see them.
Wario, Fawful and the Fawful mon will be running around close to Esphruis.
Peach will be close enough for Julia to spot her.

Just gotta wait for a certain somebody to come in and break the ritual. Then folks can show up whereever they please. Also that's fine, fuzz.

Mog is also planned to show up right in the ritual room. When I get around to signing Shadow up I'm probably not going to specify where he showed up or a whole lot of what happened before hand (probably no more than he'd tell the other characters), he's basically just going to be introduced into the game right on time for his boss battle and subsequent joining of the party.

Ephesus in short: Asian Wakanda. Ephesus, outside the capitol Erebus, has a similar vibe to Yuleia in terms of a fantasy aesthetic mixed with modern splashes, with magic powering their technology. The main difference is that most citizens actively downplay their use of technology, and the magic that powers everything is considered divine. They thank the Green Dragon for their humble supply of his power. Villages are intentionally uniform and nondescript, often with identical layouts. They are all placed and assigned for resource management tasks: farming, fishing, mining, etc. Inside the Erebus, it's Coruscant. Flying cars, skyscrapers, full modern sensibilities. Everything still has a divine magitek vibe though. A normal Ephesian citizen entering the citadel would think they've entered heaven, where magic runs freely and everyone is blessed with an easy life.
