Leia forces a retreat at full speed. Natsumi sends a text message as Tai helps her along. Then she forces you all to stop for a moment near the portal, keeping a sharp eye out, to make sure Leia and Kiran have recovered from any poison. She also makes sure she can transform back into her Otherworld form.
When you all see the crab coming around the corner with the butterfly flying overhead, it's time to go. Kiran tries to go towards it, but Natsumi grabs him by the scruff of the neck and shoves him through the portal. The rest of you follow.
Move to City Limits.

You walk through the portal and find the world exactly as you remember it. Completely grey, with no sounds or movement to speak of.

Leia looks around, then runs to the lake in a panic, paints it red, then tries to find something to throw in it to make sure it has the properties of lava as she theorized.

Leia successfully panics. She tosses some paint onto the frozen water and spreads it around, then starts looking around for something to throw. Something... there's nothing here that isn't also frozen. Then she remembers how Kiran tested it the last time she was here. She manages to find a bit of lint in her pocket and tosses it onto the lake. She expects it to have the properties of lava, but is surprised to find it has the properties of a solid object with some fresh red paint on it. That is, the lint splats onto the paint and just sits there. Not sinking. Not burning. Just sitting. Red now.

Leia sits down, holding her head with both hands, feeling useless...
"This... This can't be for nothing... There must be something we can do... It must at least work as a trap..."
Leia will let out a scream of despair with the objective of luring the color absorbers. She'll then hide behind an object, waiting to see if the monsters come to absorb the paint.
She'll also look at the time and leave if she's out of time before anything happens.

(Nah, you know more than me if she has time by walking normally.
It was more a "there's monsters in this world, she might encounter danger on her way back" than "there's chances she doesn't come out"
It was also more to describe her state of mind)

You wander back towards the entrance. Slowly. Blankly.
There's nothing here. No signs of life. No signs of those crab-things from before. No sign of that butterfly. Nothing, other than yourself. Absolute silence, other than your own footsteps.
You make it back to the portal with about an hour to spare.

You head into the portal and once again find yourself in the stark-white realm ringed by trees.
Alice looks around in shock. "This... is... The..." She stops and falls silent for a few seconds, then reaches for her key. She transforms, though you notice it takes longer than usual and her face mask is no longer materializing. "I... see. The aether in this place is... almost non-existent..."
"Oh! That's... Of course!" Natsumi says. "Hey, I want to try to get out to the wasteland from here and see if it's any different."

Tai turns his head at Leia's comment. "You came alone!? What the hell were tou thinking, you could've-!" He backs down a bit, but doesn't look angry just shocked and a bit hurt.
He turns his head away. "Fuck. Sorry. Damnit, Leia. You know it's dangerous as hell..."
He sighs and looks forward, gripping his pistols. "Let's just go."
