A spaceship flies in and pulls Natsumi into the air. You hear her call out from inside. "Thanks! But don't worry, this sorta thing is my specialty!"
A second later, a small ghost appears on Leia's shoulder. Her injury starts to hurt a bit less. The small, green orb-creature touches Tai, and he feels better, as well. The cat hisses, launching a small fireball.
Tai opens fire with a few bolts of darkness. Some seem to richochet off the shell, but a few shards go flying from the creature, as well.
The monster lets out a hissing noise and stabs the restraints holding it in place. They disappear into the creature and it begins shuffling towards the portal again.
Alice lunges forward and slashes it, grunting as her sword bounces off. "Weak point, weak point... Has to have a weak point..." she mutters quietly.
The crab backhands her with its claw hand, sending her sliding back.

"Get the fuck back here you crustacean creep!" He grips his guns tightly and runs a bit closer, but just out of the creature's range. He holds them up, anger and determination in his eyes.
He fires off Tornado Shot.

A meteor drops from the sky, and Leia kicks it at the crab. It bounces off the shell and seems to be almost entirely ineffective. Tai closes in and fires two shots at the monster. Neither seem to particularly bother it, but they seemed more effective than the meteor.
Alice takes a step back, then lunges in and stabs her sword straight into the monster's shoulder. She twists, using her body weight to hold it in place. The monster hisses and stabs its needle into her side. Alice grunts in pain, and her sword and armor disappear. She staggers back, grabbing at her soul key. It lets out an angry screech as it manages to reform her gear, then continues to hiss.
"Alice, you shouldn't get that close to it!" Natsumi calls down. She summons another ghost around Alice. The cat meows and calls down another lightning bolt, and Kodama finishes healing Tai. Leia feels the pain from her wound all but subside.
A second meteor comes dropping out of the sky, thudding into the monster. It makes a horrific grinding, clacking noise and steps back. A large, angelic figure floats down to hover among you, one of its half-dozen wings folded over its face, eyes peeking out from all over its body. "It's gorged on Wind aether right now. Don't bother with anything aspected to Earth or Wind. Try Fire."
Alice glares over her shoulder. "Mercia."
Mercia pauses for a moment, then shakes her head. "Focus."

The leech is just a little taller than Alice, and Mercia's about a foot and a half above her. So yes.

Leia looks at Mercia in confusion, but seems to0 scared of her to say anything for now.
She will use Door Frame on the Leech.
(Also supposed to have received a weaknes and resistance of the enemy, but Alice already did that)
Door Frame (Kiran 2): Some random door frame appears in front of the enemy. Since it has to pass the door frame to do any physical attacks, the enemy's speed and strenght are lowered a little.

"You should listen to me because I have more experience fighting these things, and I'm not the one actively trying to murder you," Mercia points out. "If you can't use fire, just hit it as hard as you can. Don't bother with any sustained effects, it can nullify them. Alice, you're hurt. Let me-"
"I'm fine." Alice readies her sword again.
"You're not." Mercia reaches out and places a glowing hand over where she was stabbed. The injury starts to knit closed. "I know you're smart enough to ask for help when you need it."
Alice bites her lip, but doesn't protest further.
Tai runs forward, vines sprouting from his guns. He whips the monster repeatedly as it staggers around from the assault. A few more chunks of its shell shatter off.
Leia summons a doorframe.
The monster rushes forward and thuds into it, annoyed. The monster shudders, then crouches through and fires another burst of spines. Tai manages to duck past one. Another hits Leia in the leg. Alice slashes one aimed at her out of the air, then stabs the monster. One rips right through Mercia's wings but she doesn't flinch. Both of Natsumi's summons are hit. The UFO takes a hit and comes crashing down, with Natsumi tumbling out. Her key is emitting a constant, high-pitched hum.
"Fall back, Miss Tsuki!" Mercia commands.
"I... No."
"If your key overloads you're going right back to the hospital! Do you want to make your friends watch that, or worse get caught up in it?"
Natsumi pauses, then starts withdrawing around the corner. "I'm sorry... I'll stay close! Be careful everyone!"
"...We have the advantage. Keep attacking."

Tai gives a sharp looks at Mercia. Without saying anything he turns towards Natty and uses Holy Curse.
"We know to be careful without you bossing us around! Everyone stick together, we're almsot through!We'll teach these thinggns to fuck eith us!"

Leia will try to puff herself up to look intimidating, which definitely doesn't work, but her baseball bat starts to glow extremely bright as she smashes it into the monster, creating a big explosion of light, which seems to affect all the body parts of the monster individually.
Light Aura Spread: Leia's weapon is filled with a light aura. She then attacks with her weapon, causing light damage. The light aura spreads on impact. The bigger the enemy is, the more damage it takes. [Zack 3]

Tai heals Natsumi and gains a Curse. Her key quiets down to a low hum.
"OK, I'll try to keep fighting..." she says. "Nekomata!"
Her cat explodes with another burst of flame, then spits a fireball at the monster. The small green orb floats by Leia and soothes her latest injury.
"Fine, then. If you want to take risks..." Mercia points her palm at the monster and a beam of stars flies out. They bounce of the monster, sending more shards flying.
Alice stabs through the monster and holds it in place again.
Leia runs forward with her bat and smashes the monster, a big orb of light expanding and causing it to explode repeatedly.
The monster lets out a hiss as chunks of its shell fly off. With a loud roar, it drops the remaining fragments of its shell to the ground, revealing a softer underside. A powerful wave of energy, green-tinted and dense enough to be visible, bursts out from the monster. It knocks all of you back several feet. By the time you recover, the monster is scuttling through the portal.
"Dammit!" Mercia yells. She takes off toward the portal, stopping just before going through. "The area around portals should be aetherically dense enough to sustain a small number of soul keys for a few minutes. Even one tied to this dead land should have enough deposited to keep you fighting for long enough to finish that creature off. It's weak, and vulnerable until it manages to replenish its aether reserves." With that, she flies through the portal.
