~Gleaming Mansion: Demon Guest House~
Sam, Floyd
"-be trying to... prank... me...?" Raine trails off, then stands and stares at her surrounds, dumbfounded.
Fox and Katie let you go, taking several steps and turning to face you all. "Tah-dah!"
You look around. You stand in a glowing, golden foyer. Two doors are nearby to the left and right, and two more to the far left and right. A long, ornate staircase is sitting directly ahead, leading to a second floor with six more doors. Several fancy decorations from tapestries to landscape paintings line the area on the walls... but no windows.
Behind you is a set of huge doors, which are blocked by a shining portal.
"Welcome to the Gleaming Mansion!" Katie says.
"Just stay close to us and we don't have to worry about anything..." Fox adds.
Raine continues to slowly look around with her mouth agape.

"Wait so this is the portal and the other world your talking about?".
"If it wasn't for the mall, I would have a hard time believing what I am seeing,". "Interesting very interesting,".
Sam is looking around intrigued of her surroundings and trying to soak up as much of it as possible.

You both transform. Raine starts and takes a few steps back, clutching her chest. "Haaa...! Please don't do that so suddenly...!"
Katie and Fox look confused, then share a look. "Oh, right. We forgot to mention. You don't need to do that here," Katie says.
"The monsters won't attack you so long as you don't attack them first... Um... Except for the monsters in the basement, but Auntie Hinoh says we aren't supposed to go down there," Fox says. He points to a door neither of you had noticed before, built into the side of the main staircase.
"Who... is... 'Auntie Hinoh...?'" Raine asks.
"She's the one we need to see!" Katie answers. "Don't worry, you'll get along really well."
"Oh... Is that so?" Raine says.
"Auntie Hinoh!" Fox calls out. "Hm. Where is she? Normally she meets us at the door?"
"Maybe she's in the library?" Katie says. She points to the right door.
"Maybe... Or she could be in bed...? Does she sleep? I think Grant said he doesn't have to sleep once... But, wait. So why does she have a bedroom?" Fox trails off, lost in thought.
Katie holds up a map and lets you all look at it. It shows a library to the right, kitchen to the left, workshop to the forward-left, and garden forward and right. Upstairs has two more entrances to the library, a bedroom, art room, something labeled simply as 'fun room,' and another labeled as 'Hinoh's private room.'
"A garden...? Here? In this weird... Um... M-maybe we should start our investigation there?" Raine suggests, hopefully.
"Oh, don't worry! We can split up!" Katie says. She goes sprinting up the stairs before you can protest.
"I'll start in the library, since it's so large..." Fox says.
"W-wait! Don't run... off... W-well, if they're sure it's safe..." Raine starts heading towards the garden.

(Weird I was expecting Luigi's mansion as the theme. But somehow that music just seems to favor this area.)

"Oh, well those two seem to know the owner of this mansion,". "I guess we can go back to normal self,". "Those two seem to know what they are doing but I don't want to leave Raine by herself in case something happens,". "Since she doesn't have a key and if she does get attacked someone should be there to help her," Sam says to Floyd.
Sam undoes her transformation and goes to Floyd and whispers to him. Sam has a mischievous grin on her face.
"So do you want to be the one to protect our precious flower?". "If you want you can protect our special friend, while I explore the mansion?". "If not I can stay with our Raine flower while you explore it's up to you?" Sam whispers to Floyd.

Floyd smirks right on back at Sam pointedly not transforming back "First off Raine Flower is a terrible nickname thank you for making me feel better about Raine Drop ndd secondly of course I will be accompanying Raine as so will you we shook on it remember we'll both keep her from wilting we're partners now" he replies making his way to follow their quarry at a leisurely pace so Samantha could catch up of course

Sam shrugs her shoulders and catches up with Raine and Floyd.
"All he would have to do is ask and the two love birds would have had there time alone," Sam thought.

The two of you follow along after Raine.
"Um... OK," Fox says. "Have fun?"
Katie is already gone up the stairs.
The two of you shove against each other trying to get through the door, but finally make it through.
You find Raine, with a big smile on her face, twirling in circles. The room looks like a half-open greenhouse, lined with brightly colored flowers. It opens out to a wide field, brightly lit by warm sunlight and surrounded by a tall hedge. There's plenty of open space for running, a gazebo, a hedgemaze, flowering trees, and a sprawling garden. Raine is dancing in between sunflowers as tall as she is with a look of pure joy. "Wow... Incredible...! I can't believe it! I've never seen such a beautiful garden!" She looks like she might explode. "OH! Wait, pictures! I have to get some pictures...!" She pulls out her phone and takes a few shots as she prances about.

Raine I am glad your happy about the garden but be careful. This is a first time for all three of us. We don't know what's safe and what's not. Even if Katie and Fox say we are okay around here.
Sam motions for Floyd to join her.
Hmm what do you think so far? Are we as safe as Katie and Fox think we are?

While you discuss, a monster pops out from inside of a flower. It looks like a golden orb the size of your head. Raine squeaks and shuffles back. The orb drifts forward lazily while Raine stares in shock. And then... it just kind of bumps into her and bounces off. Then bumps her again.
Raine nervously reaches out and pats it. The orb almost seems to nuzzle her in response. "These are the scary monsters you were all so worried about?" Raine giggles nervously. "It's kind of... cute."

Floyd eyes the orb after it passes for harmless his gaze goes back to Raine "Well the Monster we fought almost killed a security guard so you understand the concern... Besides you should never underestimate the cute ones" he replies

Yeah the weird mannequin thing almost slashed the poor guy in two. But then again when we were in the mall it looked normal.
Sam attempts to reach out gently to the orb and sees if it will let her pet it.
There was no portal or anything when the monster attacked. Hmm Floyd did you notice any portals or the mall looking all weird and funky looking like this place?

Floyd shakes his head "Everything looked normal to me untill the screams started...though it does make me wonder where that farm girl went maybe there was a portal deeper into the mall"

True the only reason why I told Raine about the key was because I thought she was at the mall during the attack. Then again it turns out that was her twin sister Freya who helped out the security guard.
Hmm Raine do you think Freya knows anything about portals or soul keys?
Continue to call out to the orb like you would to a shy and timid floof.
