With the acid dissolving above him, Malik quickly digs through the sand, horizontally and then upwards. He can feel the acid just barely singe his leg when he sees daylight and pulls himself out. The nearby acid starts to make a move for him, but then continues going downwards into the ground as it dissolves the sand, making another tiny acid pit.
Anna decides to break down the gate behind her. Pulling out a party popper and some fireworks, she desperately starts attacking the gate with them.
However... It isn't enough. Anna can see some severe dents in the gate, but no openings. The acid wall starts closing in, until it finally reaches Anna...
KO!

This game's winner is... Malik! (Gugu technically won too, but he died...)

EXPLANATION FROM THE BOSS: While Malik did bury himself with sand, with the little time he had to do so, he didn't bury himself too deep into the earth. This didn't allow him to just camp underground until Anna died (even ignoring the air issue), but this did allow for Malik to dig through relatively low density sand.
As for Anna, while the party popper does pack a punch, and fireworks do as well, I don't think it would have been enough to take down a professionally-built stadium gate, at least with the little time she had to do so.
