Malefio makes his way down the path to the large town of Melodis. Now this place really is amazing! It's a huge and beautiful town! The streets have many people going around. There are many Conductors here and it seems even the students at the nearby Knight Academy come here at times. The many merchants and shopkeepers sell a variety of interesting goods. Some of these things seem quite expensive though. Tourist traps, he figures. The beautiful town has many buildings mostly consisting of a white color. This is of course, the eastern side of town, the shopping district. The west side of town is mainly parks and facilities for Conductors to train their Note Beasts. The southern side of town is the residential district and the northern side of town is the historical and upper class district. There's also the town square at the center where most of the festivals take place. It's also a popular trading area for Conductors to perform free trade with their Note Beasts and items. While walking along the shopping district, through the crowds of shoppers, Malefio notices a few important looking shops. A weapons forge, an inn, and a popular tavern. There's also a pretty nice restaurant as well that seems to be new and sells food with special effects. They have everything here!

As he enters the inn, Malefio notices that the entrance of the inn has many conductors and explorers preparing to head out. There are also some tourists heading outside as well. The innkeeper, a large woman, notices Malefio as he enters. "Hey there! Welcome to the Owl's Roost! How can I help you out?" The woman greets you heartily and smiles. Her brown hair is put up in a bun and she seems to be running the front desk right now. "Actually, I don't think I've seen you around before. Are you new here in town or a tourist?" Her inquisitive, brown eyes search Malefio for an answer. It's odd why people don't seem fazed by his appearance. Are there other skeletons around or something? Despite the strangeness of not being questioned, it's sort of nice. The inn feels nice and warm and it smells like there's food being baked somewhere inside. The stairs upward led to the rooms and there are a few chairs around to sit in along with plants to keep the room feeling lively.

"Hmm... I guess I'm a tourist!
I'm collecting information on this city for the Grand Library. They sent me to look for important people and I think every single person is important in some way. Everyone has it's own purpose.
I'm not from this planet actually... Might have talked too fast... Not even sure if your civilisation has the concept of a planet...
Anyway, is there any story to this Inn? Does a lot of people come here?"

"Whoa, whoa! Slow down there!" The woman laughs a bit as Malefio talks so quickly. "If your Conductor lives at the Grand Library, you probably live with him. Anyway, I'd be glad to tell you a little more about this inn. My name's Mary. It's nice to meet you." The woman gives Malefio a powerful handshake before continuing. "Anyway, about the inn, this inn has been here for a while now. It was first set up by my father. Ever since he opened the place, it's gotten bigger with the town growing too. This inn has always been very popular for travelers, explorers, and even tourists. Usually if you don't live in the city, you live here. We've always got our rooms full of people, but somehow it all works out. I think that's all for right now. I have some more work to do, but always feel free to visit. You know, it's kind of strange that a Conductor would send their Note Beast here to gather information instead of doing it themselves. Well, anyway, have a nice day!" Wait, did she just call you a Note Beast? Oh, people must think you're one of those monsters summoned by Conductors. Strange, there must be some that can talk.

Malefio seems weirded out, but don't want to hinder Mary with her work:
"Thank you for the information! I will note it all!"
Malefio will go to the tavern.

Heading into the tavern, Malefio notices this place is also pretty popular. Mostly Conductors are here though. The man working at the bar notices Malefio and greets him as he takes a seat at the bar. "Hey there! You seem lost, kid! Haha! Not that I should be talking! You don't look all that young!" The man places down one of the mugs he was polishing. "What can I get ya?"

"So your with the library, eh? I'd be glad to help ya out then! Haha!" The muscular man grins as he speaks. "This is the Drunken Bear! Named after none other than my good old Note Beast! Grump's not here right now. I sent him out to get something for me. Maybe you'll run into him though if you're looking. He'll be the bear that can't walk straight. Anyway, I set this bar up when I first came to this town a long time ago. I used to be a pretty big Conductor back in the day, you know. Grump and I explored the world, gathering all kinds of treasure. Then one day I decided to stay in this town and retire. I used my money from adventuring to open up the Drunken Bear and I've worked here since. This place is more than your average place to get a drink though. See this board behind me? The people in town put up requests here and Conductors come by to take them on. This place is also pretty big for them to form groups to go exploring. Haha! Brings back memories, seeing these kids getting together to explore. That's probably all I got for ya though. Nice metting ya, but I better get back to work. You sure you don't want a drink before leaving?"

Leaving behind the bar, Malefio heads on over to the nearby forge. There a woman seems to be working on a sword, hammering it out a bit as her customer stands at the counter. "Whew, this'll be a good one!" As she places the sword in water, cooling it, she then hands it to the man. "There you go. That'll be one hundred gold coins." The man hands her a small bag of coins before excitedly running off with the sword, most likely to test it out. "Welcome to the King's Blade! How can I help you? Here for me to forge a weapon or maybe you wanted to try it out yourself?"

"You let people forge their own weapon?
I'll take note of that, your forge might have even more customers soon, I'm with the Grand Library collecting some information.
Any story about your forge or yourself?"

"Oh, a new guy working for the library. I guess it could be good to have my forge featured in the compendium then. Yep, I let people use the forge as long as they use their own materials and pay a small fee of just fifty gold. I can also make weapons for them with the materials they gathered up, but it will cost more. I can garuntee quality though. Anyway, this is just my simple shop. Not much to it. I only make the best in weapons though, so feel free to come by when you need a new weapon or even armor. I have all kinds of equipment for making stuff, so you can use what you need. Oh, my name's Axela, by the way. Nice meeting you, boney." The woman returns to forging weapons as Malefio stands there. "Did you need something else, or is that all?"
