At first, they look surprised, but their faces soften as they see it's you. "Malefio? You aren't tired? I mean...it is pretty late you know. You wanted someone to talk to. Well, I guess we could. Let's go sit down over there." He points out an outdoor table at the nearby cafe. You each take a seat and he sits there looking pensive. He doesn't seem as cheery as usual and you haven't heard him laugh yet! He usually laughed every two sentences before! Something must be wrong...

"Rachel is a girl I know. I haven't seen her in a very long time. It's been many long years. About thirty years since I've seen her, I think. She was a Conductor. We used to travel together, but one day we were separated when we were searching for something. I don't even know if she survived or if I'll see her again. We nearly died the day we parted. We were trying to..." His voice trails off as he stops a moment. "Well, that's not important. What's important is that I can find a way to undo what I have done. After all these years, I had some time to think...the way I tried to stop it all was wrong. I need to do it right this time..." He stops and closes his eyes as he sits there. Grump nudges him with his nose. "Don't worry, I'm alright."
As he opens his eyes, he looks to you. "So how have things been? I can't imagine much happened to you since I last saw you, but you've got to treasure every moment you have with those you care about."

Then I found the Storm Base while she got deeper into the forest...
Things are moving slowly for now. I didn't find any new creature or people."

"Bwaaaaaaaaaaaaabrgh." Grump then hobbles around a bit before managing to find his way over into the bar. Frazga caught a bug while hopping around. He insists you keep it in your inventory.

Malefio heads to the historic part of town. Nothing really seems out of the ordinary here. There's just the typical monuments, tourist trap souvenir shops, and an old shrine to a time goddess that's been here since the town was built.

You head to the shrine and look at it. All it is is a statue of a woman standing next to a platform with a mysterious sigil. It's said that this statue has the power to transport you through time! Of course, nobody has proved it to be true. People do say that if you stand on it, the goddess will bless you with good luck though! It's a pretty big tourist destination.

You stand on the platform and see if anything happens. It seems like nothing happens. You do notice the fog clear as the sun rises though. It looks like a new day is coming and you notice people are starting to wake up. They look a little shaken up though. Must have not slept well...
