Grimer comes out of its Pokeball, looking directly at Magcargo with its eyes flashing. Magcargo makes a motion as if to knock you out with Overheat, but nothing happens! Disable sealed the move! Grimer takes this chance of confusion to throw a large ball of mud at Magcargo, efficiently knocking it out! "It looks like you beat me. Not bad, brother!" Darunia returns his Pokemon and hands you Din's Stone. He also hands you TM Overheat. "Be careful when you use it though. It lowers your power each time. Well, good luck. You have all the stones." Darunia waves as you all walk out and Mitsuru quickly heals your Pokemon. The only one left is the gym leader. You head to the castle area and find yourselves having to go through some sort of temple with a doorway containing slots for each of your gems. As you insert them all and walk into the light filled room, it seems to be a basic stadium with large windows letting light in. There's a large symbol with three triangles on the center. As you stand there, someone comes walking in from the other side. It's someone wearing what looks like a lot of green. He's got a green shirt under a darker green jacket and his brown boots look sort of obvious against his white pants. He's got blonde hair that is easy to see since he doesn't have a hat on. This must be the gym leader Link!
"You made it all the way here? Good job. It's been a while since a challenger could pass all three challenges so quickly. But I won't be so easy to beat."
Gym Leader Link challenges you to a battle!
Link tosses out his Pokeball with a Voltorb in it! Be careful! Those can explode!

ANy attack which can cover the Voltorb with a barrier so the explosion is contained?
Otherwise, use Mud Bomb.

Mud Bomb, and if it survives spam Harden. Unfortunately Selfdestruct is a special attack, but we've been playing pretty fast and loose with the game mechanics anyways so far, so it has a small chance of working.

Grimer throws a Mud Bomb right at Voltorb, hitting it, and seemingly doing well in terms of damage, but this Voltorb has been trained in the art of defense. Grimer starts Hardening as quickly as it can, completely losing its shit. Voltorb then glows bright white before EXPLODING! Bam, one blast and Grimer is outta here! But wait, Voltorb is out too! It's a double KO! It seems even though Grimer rose it's defense, Self Destruct was powerful enough to break through. That Voltorb was like a bomb! Link returns Voltorb to his Pokeball and then switches out to a Jigglypuff! "Navi, go get them!" The Jigglypuff nods to Link and starts taking in a deep breath! Whoever you send out better be ready for this!

Oh man... We don't have any moves that are Poison or Steel right now, so we can't go for a type advantage. The only thing we should know that applies to us is that Bug Type moves will be weak against a Fairy Type. But Fairy Type moves aren't super effective against Bug Type. So... We could basically go with anyone now. I'd say go with Remoraid.

(You need to pick an attack as well or Remoraid won't do anything.)

Oh, man... This isn't gonna end well...
Remoraid should fire an Aurora Beam at the Jigglypuff, specifically at its mouth!

Remoraid comes out of the Pokeball, shooting an Aurora Beam into Navi's mouth! Before it makes contact, Navi manages to scream in a high pitched voice "HEY, LISTEN!" Remoraid's ears are pounding in pain as it stumbles slightly (somehow), but stands its ground, continuing to float in the air. The Aurora Beam hits the open mouthed Jigglypuff as Navi starts coughing on the cold air and seems hurt from the attack.

PJ will start playing music, louder than Jigglypuff's voice, so she can't affect Remoraid.

Keep zoning with Psybeam. The music should prevent its sound based attacks, and since it probably isn't level 37 yet this limits it to physical moves that would likely require it to get in close. If we can keep it from doing that it won't have a whole lot of options.
