For some reason, you know they are called Joel and Kitty. They don't seen like the one who talked though. Whoever is talking is not here with you... THE MASTER: "Before you can appear in central town, I have a few things to check with you... First of all, I need you to declare any equipment your fighters would have with them. Don't worry, while we will take their equipment, we will give them back to them before each battle. The reason for that is that equipment is not allowed inside the town." |

Joel should have the Painting Beam, multiple hammers, a blowtorch, a chainsaw, various bombs, dynamite, screwdrivers, more lasers, and...well pretty much anything an Assist Bot could need to construct thing with, but most of those are built into him..."

Anyway, we'll take whatever is not attached to him, as well as Kitty's stuffs.
Now we're moving to the touchy part...
You see, we trust you to know your character's powers so we don't really need to know them. Of course, if you make an attack we feel is too broken, we might give your opponent some sort of boost.
The thing is that there's a bad guy name Virus running around and he could corrupt your fighters. Therefore, we would need to know their basic powers in case we need to defeat them.
Here's the problem though: Virus will know everything you tell me about your fighters' powers.
So I encourage you to tell me the strict minimum."

"Uh, alright. Kitty has the skill to change classes using Asterisks, giving her the abilities of enemies she has defeated in the past. She is also good at using speed and her claws to fight with agility. Joel can construct various objects using nearly any materials. He's also got a self destruct sequence that activates in Overdrive Mode. In Overdrive Mode, Joel will become more powerful and often use many attacks in combination with each other. If he dies during this, he will explode, however. It's not a small explosion either. It can be very risky."

You and your 2 fighters appear in the center of a town. There's 2 other guys here. The first one is followed by a Ratata and a Goomba with a blue cap. The other one is followed by what seem to be a football player and an alien gladiator.
There's also a really shady looking guy.
Shady Postman: "Hey there newcomers! I'm the shady postman. You can look at the first post to know where you can go in the central town. This topic is used to socialize. If you already want to fight, the Infinite Plains are already open for battle. It houses standard battles.
Oh! Almost forget! If you want to communicate with any human, you can just call my name and I'll appear. You give me a message and I'll transmit it! To see a list of humans, you can go on the information board.
Well! I'll be leaving you on your own. If you need help, there's always the information center!"
The shady guy disappears.

"Well that was fast. The place seems a little empty right now. I wonder where everyone went..."
"Checking database...entry found. This is the Central Plaza. Players interact here. If you aren't sure what is going on, it may be best to speak with the other players for help. There is no fighting in this area, so it should be safe to talk."
"Meow." Kitty finds her way up on top of a nearby roof to sunbathe and relax.
"I wonder if a lazy cat and broken robot were the best choices..." Let's go see what those guys have to say. "Hey, nice to meet you both. The name's Just. I'm new here, so I was wondering if you guys knew anything about this fighting thing. When are the tournaments and are there prizes for winning?"

The guy followed by the Ratata smiles at you and shakes your hand.
Paul: "Hey there! My name is Paul! I'm also new here! Here are my friends, Ratata and Goombario!"
Ratata: "Hello there, nice to meet you!"
Goombario: "Well, tournaments are always going on here. Currently, only the Infinite Plains are open for battles. They houses battles in a fully open area, 1 VS 1. Each win gives you one point and you have to participate in 4 battles. After 4 battles, if you are one of the two humans with the most points, you'll fight the other one in a final. You also win 3 Gold for every victory and a unique prize every time you win the finale.
If you want to fight there, you jjust have to go to the infinite plains. They are just outside the city!"
Paul: "Wow Goomabario, you know a lot!"
Goombario: "That's what I do"
The other human seems to be looking at you in disgust.

"Thanks for the help. I'll be headed there right now." Then turn to the jerkface and speak with him. "As for you...WATCH YOUR MANNERS, JERK! There's nothing wrong with letting them talk. They've got feelings and thoughts as well and have important things to say. See ya." Let's go on out to those plains. I can't wait to try out a battle. Kitty will jump down from the nearby building and follow.

"No weapons, but the two of them are skilled in using their respective elements. Ifrit mainly uses fire attacks and has a chance to inflict burn (victim's health gradually lowers until it wears off) with those moves while Shiva mainly uses ice attacks and has a chance to inflict freeze (enemy can't move or attack until it wears off) with some of her moves. In both cases it's the moves of their element that do this. They can also use Rage, a move which takes a few seconds to use but boosts their stats and inflicts their status condition on all enemies within a decent sized radius (roughly twice as big as they are), and they each have a powerful attack that they generally only use under the stat boosts of rage, but more on that later. Is that plenty?"
