Malik looks at Jess move away, with a sad look on his face. "I feel like I messed up..." Malik then goes back to healing Ashley and Sci. (I hope this doesn't cost me Mana since it's not a battle situation...) Nah, I'll just consider it like resting in an inn or something. |

(If Mike and Malik want ro learn about Jesss backstory Jess will be right outside Ashleys room)
Jess thinks about everything that has happened to her. Her village being burned to the ground, Terran being destroyed, Hilda, being imprisoned, just everything. All this while staring at the ribbon belonging to Hilda.

I keep having this weird thought that I might go to sleep, and this will all be a dream when I wake up. I keep having nightmares about my time trapped on this island." Oberünd pauses for a moment. "When I younger, I ended up alone a on a few fairly small islands. I can't remember how I ended up there, or why. I just remember being all alone for years. I had all these weird hallucinations, I could never tell what was real and what wasn't. Some people form the Cascade islands found me and adopted me. They trained me to be a warrior. That's how I got l here, I decided to be an adventurer, so I could earn money and help fix up the Cascade islands. I feel like I owe it to those people." "What I really want to ask you, how would anchor yourself in reality, how would you keep yourself convinced that this is all real for good?" Mosquito: "What grounds me to reality heh? You know, you're making me question it myself now... I was left alone and for dead in a cave, then woke up and was adopted by Talia's mom... So you're telling me what makes this real? Well, let's pretend I'm dead for a second... I'm still here, in this place, able to think and interact with people. Maybe I am dead and maybe this is the afterlife... but who cares? It's better than being alone in that cave! You're asking me what makes this real? It's simple: I'm living this exact moment. If all of this was an illusion, I would still feel the pain of being ripped apart by giant worms, even though I see a totally different reality. And I have a responsiblity now: my daughter! Those hallucinations, could you touch them? Were they physical? If not, you just have to touch something to know if it's real! You can't physically touch hallucinations right?" Oberünd pokes mosquito and laughs a bit. "You seem solid enough to me! I never thought of it that way. I guess you're right. If I were left on those Islands still, I would feel cold and hungry, not happy and laughing with my friend! Thanks mosquito. You're real smart, you know that, and a real good friend to boot!" |

(Malik didn't do anything wrong Jess is just feeling very insecure right now and seeing the swirling light, and the one time she was a leader she faceplanted into the snow has made her feel ever more insecure)
Oh hey Keth nothing just thinking about everything, that has been going on and just feeling powerless to stop it. Seeing a town that i love being burnt to the ground again.

Sci and Mike both slowly peek around the corner of a nearby tent, listening intently.
"To be honest, I feel the same as you. I'm not a hero either. And I'm definitely not very good at saving my friends. I always seem to mess up. I get knocked out, frozen, and even controlled by enemies. I couldn't even win at non adventuring things..." He looks down. "You probably don't know this, but that night at the festival...I asked out Ashley. She said no. I didn't know why, but now I think I do. Did you see her and Malik together...? I think she likes him..."

Mike remains quiet. Remembering the night of the festival. He had a chance to stop the dark lords. He did not take it. And now mike blames himself for that event happening.

"Oh hi Viker! Is Terra okay? Ashley did not wake up yet, so I'm still healing her... I guess I can take a break... She must only be resting!"
Malik goes outside with Viker.
"Hey everyone! I want you to meet Viker! He helped me survive in the Tundra and meet back with you guys!
Viker, here is Sci the engineer! His friend here is Keth the archer, he's Ashley's childhood friend! Over there is Jess the knight. These guys accepted me immediately, even though I'm from somewhere else! They are my friends.
There is Mike, but I don't really know him yet! That will change though!
I hope you guys can all hang out with each other!
Well... I'm the healer around here and I need to do my job! If you're looking for me, I'm just making sure Ashley successfully wakes up!"
Malik will go back in the tent, but just let Ashley rest. He's looking for any spasm or oddity though.
