"Before you say its not like that I know that look in her eyes anywheres," Jess said to Malik. "You know you were the first person to show me any kidness," Jess said while her back is too Malik. "I grown to like both you and Ashley, actually you can say more then like," Jess said. "You can say I grown to love you two like love love bot family or brother sister thing," Jess said Yet on that mountain I saw how the 2 of you were glowing not because of your attack. I saw how you were chosen I saw the aura surrounding you both. I saw how she got even stronger by getting access to a summon. Maybe you can say I am jealous that the two people I love are reaching new heights and look at me still weak old Jess who cant do a dam thing. Jess has now broken in tears and is uncontrollably sobbing. Malik smiles as he starts to listen to Jess. "You're not just my friend... You're the first adventurer I met, the first adventurer who asked me to go on a mission! You're the reason why this team exists..." While Jess continues talking, he suddenly feel uneasy. "Me and her? Wait you mean that she... No this can't be... I mean... I do like her... But... I can't do this to Keth..." While the speech continues, he stays silent, not knowing what to say, until Jess mentions the aura. "I... I don't understand... Chosen by what? I... I don't know... I didn't think... Huh..." As Jess tears up, Malik can't do anything than taking her in his arms. "I'm sorry... I... I don't know..." He seems to regain his composure a bit. "You know, you're not weak... Not at all... To say everything you just said to me, that's being strong. Asking a more experienced adventurer to help you on your first quest also needs a lot of strenght. And you're always in front, fighting for us and protecting us. Just look at me, defeated by your words. Not knowing what to tell you. If someone is weak, it's definitely me. You are the strongest of this group and I don't even doubt it." Malik then looks at the floor, seemingly sad and confused. "If I'm a threat to you and Keth's happiness... Maybe... Maybe I should go away..." |

Everyone moves over to the large banquet hall in the palace and sits down to eat. The Arcsage seems to be enjoying himself with the Gysahl Greens Salad, but the palace servants bring in different food for the adventurers. "The Arcsage's wife, Lady Sara, has asked that we prepare something more...normal for you. Of course, you may have some of the er...salad if you would like." It seems for the most part it's roasted meat with different kinds of vegetables and roasted fruits.
"I do love fine dining!" He seems to be really enjoying that salad...even though Gysahl Greens can't possibly taste good.
Sara, the Arcsage's wife, comes walking in to eat, but looks surprised and runs toward Sylvia to give her a hug. "Oh, Sylvia, it's so good to see you again! How have you been doing? Have you been eating right? You haven't neglected your studies while adventuring with your brother have you? Speaking of, where exactly did he go? Oh, I have so many questions! I missed you while you were gone! Don't worry, I kept your room nice and clean and warm for you. Oh, but everything is as you left it, I promise." Does this woman know Sylvia...?

Jess: Malik your not weak. In fact it's because of your strategies and planning we are all still alive. Me all i can do is just bash things with a sword, but you can do that whole light bomb thing.
Instead of just pressing the issue with the whole light thing she just (14) plays it off like maybe it was part if the attack things were very hectic.
Jess: Really why are you upset if Ashley likes you. When you were with Ashley me and Keth talked a bit and he said Ashley didn't have the same type of feelings for him like he did for her. He told me that he could tell Ashley was having feelings for you. I think thats great. Now here i am being so emotional and jealous and everything.
Jess returns the gesture and allows herself to be pulled into Maliks embrace.

Paul grabs a couple of pieces of meat and potatoes and casually eats the food.

Even then, I can see the look in their eyes... You're the one who took care of them when I was gone. I can see in their eyes they trust you with their lives, all of them. You put your own life at risk to protect them... If that doesn't make you worthy for the guardians or whatever entity, then they don't see what I'm seeing!

Jess: La sigh you know you have such a calming presence about you. (Jess tells Malik) You know I just feel safe and secure around you. This is why I wanted to tell you something since our very first adventure.
Thank you for chosing me to go an adventure with you and everyone else. You don't know how much it means to me that you chose me to go onto an adventure with you. Thank you for everything you done for me. Even right now you could have just blown me off for my recent behavior.
Actually, all this time I been talking about myself but what about you Malik. Anything you wish to share with me? I want to get to know you better Jess said to Malik
