Since you guys are lost on what to do, I can give you a few suggestions.
Eidolon Hunting (Side Quest)
Go and hunt down some nearby eidolons. I think King Cactuar and Titan are nearby.
Blue Ninja (Side Quest)
Go and battle the Blue Ninja at River Crossing. This will unlock new skills and unlock the Limit Break sidequest.
Recruit Magis (Side Quest)
Get the people of Magis to help you fight against the Dark Lords in the upcoming final battle. This will make you more likely to win.
The Swordmaster (Side Quest)
Once you have defeated each of the ninja, go and speak with the swordmaster and learn the ultimate technique.
Discover Legendary Heroes (Main Story)
Go and try to get more Legendary Heroes recognized. You need twenty before the final battle.

Hey Pie if you want Paul will go with you to hunt some summons.
If Pie dosent then Paul will go after the blue Ninjas.
