Mirror Mage searches for Wallace and finds him.
Wallace: "Hmmm... I don't know how I'd be useful, but I can come."
Suddenly, it's night in the camp... Yet as they look in the distance, it seems to still be day in the plains.
The guards look around, confused.
Wallace: "Hmmm... What is going on?"
A woman can be heard screaming inside the camp. It seems to be coming from the tent Mirror Mage was supposed to go in...

(I imagine Mirror Mage as always calm... If I'm wrong, let's just says he runs instead. It doesn't change the event anyway)
Mirror Mage calmly walks towards the tent as the woman comes out of it. There's some kind of shadowy tentacle coming out of the corpse of her now dead husband. The tentacle lashes at the woman, completely absorbing her.
Most of the guards witnessing this run away, but Elliot unsheates his sword, ready to fight. He grabs another guard and forces him to join the party.
Elliot: "You stay and fight!"
Wallace: "What even is that thing?"
Elliot: "I have no idea..."

Summon them both. Basilisk will focus purely on attacking since I don't know if it absorbs everything it touches or not, but Wolfman wil throw a knife along with a mimicked copy. If the tentacle reaches for anyone, they will jump back.

Mirror Mage summons his Basilisk and Wolfman while the guard cowers in fear, unable to do anything. Wallace keeps his distance for now as Elliot doesn't hesitate to strike the tentacle with his sword.
Basilisk bites the enemy successfully, while the wolfman stays behind and throws his large dagger at the enemy.
The Tentacle starts to pulse...

Mirror Mage and his allies back out of the tentacle's reach, Wolfman and a copy throwing a dagger in the process.

(Wolfman would need to get his dagger back first, but the Mimic works.)
Elliot: "Yeah... Okay..."
Elliot jumps behind a pile of wooden logs. The other guard is too scared to move.
Mirror Mage and his monsters walk away from the Tentacle until they think they are far enough. Wallace follows them. A mirror mimic throws a large dagger at the Tentacle.
A dark shockwave come out of the tentacle, hitting the entire camp. Mirror Mage falls on his knees, while the guard falls on his back. Elliot is launched backward with the logs. Everything in the camp can be seen being pushed back.
Wallace is still standing there. It seems he wasn't affected...
Elliot: "What even is that thing?"
Tutankapuchon comes out of his destroyed tent.
Tutankapuchon: "What is going on?"
He then notices the battle.
Tutankapuchon: "What? How? How did the Shadow make it here?
Don't let it touch you!"
Tutankapuchon joins the party.
