Professor Birch: So, Carrie, as you know, we're working on purifying the Shadow Pokemon, but we're missing an important component. That's not really why I called you here though. Your parents sent you here to go out adventuring with your Pokemon. I have some errands I'd like you to do since I'll be busy. Can you go to Sunbrine City and do some grocery shopping? Our delivery girl, Coilette seems to be running late. While you're there, also keep an eye out for Officer Shade. He's from overseas and is here to help investigate the Shadow Pokemon crimes. Remember, ever little bit of help counts! If you need, there's a PC and Healing Center right over there. Head on off whenever you're ready!

Carrie: Okay Uncle Birchy. Fennie and Pika come on guys we got a big adventure ahead of us.
(Can these Pokemon speak human or is it just Pokemon sounds?)

Pika: Piiiiikkkkaaaa
Pika hops onto Carrie's shoulder and Fennie takes lead as Carrie heads to town and begins the most epic of quests.

(Probably just Pokespeak, although if Just is okay with it I could have Victini work something out to set up a sort of translation system similar to Emma's Espurr in XY. It's a trick I recently did in one of the other games, but if he doesn't like that idea I would be fine with not doing it. The only reason I did so in that game was because it was getting complicated with certain characters able to understand them and having to use those characters as translators.)

(I still have no idea what Fuzz is talking about.
I'd prefer Pokemon and humans not communicate in this game so I can save my character ideas in Pokemon solely in PMD. I wouldn't mind you guys expressing character through expressions or poke sounds though.)

(Maybe it can be something special for Team Purify because our Pokemon actually like us?) (I was thinking kinda of what I did where Pixy created translators but well right now I dont have an ultra smart, genetically modified Pikachu) (Nevermind I got Shedninja'd)

(The Emma thing was something from the Looker sidequest in Pokemon X and Y. If you've forgotten or didn't play through it, there was a point where a character's Espurr did something which resulted in the player character and Looker being able to understand a tourist from Kanto, and in one of the games I've got Shade in I used a similar trick but to translate Pokemon since there were already some characters capable of understanding Pokemon, but others such as Shade had no such ability. I'm perfectly fine not using it here.)

(I'd rather just focus on the trainers. Like I said, I don't mind Pokemon getting some attention, but I don't want to end up in a position where I am forced to create characters for EVERY Pokemon you meet. And I especially don't want a position where you guys try to just talk with the enemy Pokemon and blech.
Also, the Team Shadow Pokemon like their trainers just fine. The only ones that don't are the Shadow Pokemon.)

Carrie and Shade head to the Pokemon lab, finding Coilette apologizing to Professor Pine with her doggies. Apparently she fell asleep while delivering that important Pokemon purification component.
Professor Pine: Oh, Carrie! Shade! You're here! Now is a perfect time! My new invention has just been completed. The Snag Glove! I made one for each of you. Go ahead! Try it on!
The three are outfitted with a special glove and headpiece. It seems the headpiece can allow you to communicate and hear others while also having a little eyepiece to scan for Shadow Pokemon. The glove glows an interesting color.
Professor Pine: They look great on you all! Those gloves will help you snag Shadow Pokemon! Which is a good thing because we just recently caught word of a trainer using Shadow Pokemon in the lighthouse in Sunbrine City. This would be the perfect chance to test out my invention. Carrie, Coilette, I'd like you two to head out and try the new capture machine. As for you, Officer Shade, I would like it if you could keep watch of those too. If anything goes wrong, I'm putting them in your safe hands.

An invention like this should be a huge boon in confiscating Shadow Pokemon, but if it can be used on any Pokemon and were to fall into the wrong hands we could have a global crisis on our hands. In any case, I'll make sure that these two don't bite off more than they can chew."
