Carrie heads on over to Gateon Port and the beautiful city is right by the ocean. There are all kinds of different buildings and you can see sailors heading out on their ships and people coming into port. There's also a big lighthouse in the distance. Wingull are flying overhead and you can even see a few trainers walking around with their Pokemon. You head on over to the grocery store and outside find Coilette asleep with Bulbie on her motorcycle. It looks like she was going to deliver the groceries and then just...fell asleep. Maybe you should wake her up...?
Meanwhile, at the harbor, Shade comes walking into the city with Cass at his side. It's an interesting city, but where is Team Purify? They said they would be here to greet you. Maybe you should check out the town a bit? There's a bar nearby, a restaurant, a large lighthouse, a grocery store, and the port itself full of sailors.

Shade calls the professor on his Xtransceiver.

Pika pokes Coilette's nose with their tail as Coilette sneezes, falling off the bike and waking up!
Meanwhile, Shade calls Professor Pine using his Xtransceiver. He gets a response from the professor, but there's no video since he uses a special type of headpiece instead of an Xtransceiver.
Professor Pine: Hello? This is Professor Pine. Who is calling?

Professor Pine: Oh, my apologies, Officer. I completely forgot. Sorry about that. My niece should be over at Sunbrine City though. She's out grocery shopping. If you find her, she can easily lead you back to the lab. Again, very sorry!

Coilette gets up and rides off to the lab.

Carrie goes around the store, shopping and sees Shade walk in. That must be the officer she was sent here to meet. He's definitely the only one you've met that LOOKS like a police officer. Or like a detective. Or like a law guy dude. Dood. Pika.
