Vitmon Academy

Mike returns to the academy, safe and sound. His bracelet flashes and his song has been Soul Linked! A small gem is dispensed out of the bracelet and Mike places it carefully away. He reports back to Professor Violetta.

"Nice work, Mike! I can tell you're already starting to get the hang of this! Here's your reward for clearing the assignment!" Mike receives 1 Performer Point! "That was a Performer Point! It helps us determine your rank as a performer. The more you have, the higher rank you're considered and the more difficult tournaments you can enter in. It also gives you access to better items at the academy shop. I have a new assignment ready for you, actually."

Mike returns to his incubator, finding that the egg has hatched! A small, round creature wanders around the incubator. It's the same color as the egg, cyan. It's made of some sort of gelatinous substance with a squishy membrane around it. It also has two small eyes. This is the most basic form of a Vitmon. They all start off looking like this. It looks up at Mike curiously. It apparently changes depending on how you raise it. What will it become?

The Soul Link you have blinks. You have three choices of what to do. You can either train your Vitmon with it, change the environment, or teach it a skill you used while you had it equipped.

Mike teaches his Vitmon the Catchy Dance skill! It dances around and seems happy, dancing with Mike. It has grown closer to him. The color seems to have become slightly brighter and the Vitmon is a little shinier. This little guy still needs a name. Any ideas?

Mike decides not to name his Vitmon yet. It doesn't seem to mind though. It enjoys Mike's company and dances around a little. It's really kind of cute. Mike should be able to turn in his quest now. Would he like to take his Vitmon out of the incubator with him or leave it here?

Mike decides to take his Vitmon out of the incubator and motions for it to come with him. His Vitmon happily climbs up on his shoulder and sits there. Mike returns to Professor Violetta and turns in his assignment. "Nicely done, Mike. You're already gonna be a great performer. I can tell!" Mike gains more Performer Points. "I have your next assignment ready!"

Description: A practice contest has been set up for you to participate in the contest hall. Go learn the basics of contests! I'll even give you a Soul Link for free after. Any song of your choice!

(Sorry for all this tutorial type stuff, by the way. Things should be more fun once it's over.)

Mike takes on the assignment. He heads on over to the contest hall and signs up for the practice contest. Heading backstage into the dressing room, he has some time to plan for his performance. This is usually the time when you can dress up your Vitmon with items bought at the shop, but Mike doesn't have any at the moment. A few minutes later, he notices the turn order has been decided for who will perform first.

Mike watches as Gem takes the stage first. She and her Vitmon perform with electricity. It's a pretty interesting display. Her Vitmon juggles balls of electricity. It looks like Mike will be up next. He and his Vitmon enter on the stage together with the crowd carefully watching. They wait to see what he will do...
