Hope Guild Base

"...U-Um..." The girl looks around, noticing she's along without Varon to hide behind. "I...I-I want a flute..." She looks away from Jonathan, at the ground. "P-Please."

The energetic guy looks at the instruments you have for a bit before pointing to the guitar. "That one looks cool!"

"Um...What do we do now?" The girl looks around, thinking she's doing something wrong.

"We take the notes over to the altar! Then we get to play our song." he walks over to the altar, placing his note on it before playing on his guitar.



As he plays his song, the note begins to react, playing back the tune. As he continues, it no longer sounds as if a single guitar is playing, but an entire orchestra of instruments. The note changes form into rocks, falling apart, and floating in the air. The rocks then come together and enlarge, creating a dome on the ground, next to the altar. As he finishes his song, the rock dome shatters and rock bits fly out everywhere. From within, the sound of a horse echoes throughout the area. Made entirely of carved stone, a horse statue stands with glowing, yellow eyes. It's both simple, yet majestic. "Oh, cool! I bet this one's rare too! It's awesome!"

"I-I guess it's my turn..." The girl holds her flute and visibly shakes a bit before playing.



The note plays along with her and she looks shocked, but keeps playing. As the song continues, more instruments from somewhere else join in. The note shifts into leaves, scattering in the wind and swirling around. As it lands on the ground, near the altar, they rapidly increase in speed and create a swirling pillar of leaves. Finally, the wind scatters them away and something sits on the ground. A little ferret yawns and looks around. It's eyes appear to be constantly shut and its fur is green and white. It has a big, bushy tail. The ferret looks up at the one that summoned it and flicks its tail a little, looking at her curiously. "D-Did I do it right...?" She seems hesitant to approach her new Note Beast.

The shadow demon soldier goes with Varon over to Narusaki. "Alright, so what are we supposed to do?"

"Ah, yes. Beastmen cannot summon Note Beasts. I assume you know how to use your Beastman powers, correct? You simply need to verify the process. You get to skip the instruments and summoning. Here you go. Open up your Compendiums and mark down your name, skills, element, rank, and so on."

The bored soldier opens the compendium and writes down his name, rank, element, known skills, and equipment.

(I mean, technically, yes. But he's got B-Ball Mage here. He might be not posting on purpose.)

Jonathan thinks about Varon's question for a moment before responding.
"I suppose it depends on what you've spent much of your life before joining the guild doing. Many farmers, for instance, have stated that they were surprised at how easily they were able to get used to wielding spears, or how those in construction generally seem most comfortable wielding heavy weapons like axes or warhammers."
(My personal choice if it were my character would probably be a Bo Staff to go with his background as a traveler, although that also depends on how good his dexterity is since it's a weapon that involves a lot of precise and fluid movements.)

As Jack plays his song, the note begins to follow the tune as well. Eventually, an entire band can be heard coming from the note. The note bursts into flames that circle around, lowering toward the ground. As they reach the ground, the flames melt into a puddle of lava. From the puddle of lava, a Note Beast begins to rise up out of it, playing a guitar. It appears to be a humanoid collection of lava and volcanic rocks, holding a guitar made out of rocks. It's literally a rock guitar. The new Note Beast finishes the song with Jack and then looks at him. He can see that it has yellow, glowing eyes somewhere amongst the flames and lava.

As Jill plays her song, the note begins to repeat the tune back at her, eventually giving off the sound of multiple instruments. The note begins to break apart into a powerful, swirling gust of wind. The wind moves around Jill quickly and she's surrounded in it. She seems cut off from the rest of the world a moment before a hand reaches out to her from the wind, holding her's. At first it's surprising, but she realizes it looks just like a human hand. "Milady, you look beautiful today." Stepping from out of the wind, what looks like a prince walks toward Jill. He wears brown gloves and boots along with ornate and fancy looking red and gold clothing. He's wearing a red and gold cape as well. He wears a large, red and gold hat with a golden feather sticking out of it as well. He has a rapier sheathed and attached to his belt as well. It looks golden. As he reaches her and their eyes meet, she can see he has golden eyes and hair. Quite the unusual traits for a human. But this is a Note Beast. Even though it looks nothing like other Note Beasts she has seen before. The whirlwind around them disappears and the crowds can see Jill standing with the human Note Beast holding her hand and looking at her. Gerand looks surprised and walks over to her.

"Wow, a human Note Beast? And it can talk? Those are incredibly rare."
