Melody is not stupid. Melody quietly closes the door and walks to the other side. She cracks it open and is surprised to see no floor. She opens it wider and sees that it is, in fact, some kind of slide. She can faintly make out a cement floor at the bottom, in some dimly lit basement. She can't make out any traps from here, but... her gut says to be careful. Diana continues to sit in the box, waiting for direction.

Diana unleashes her spiral streams against the box. The attack causes the wood to make a loud cracking noise, but it also causes it to begin to flood with water. It slowly seeps out of some small cracks, but much slower than Diana is creating it. She abandons the attack when the water reaches up past her legs. There are some cracks beginning to form where she's attacking - easily visible due to the light streaming through them. But it will be some time before it's safe to use Spiral Stream again. Melody leaves the chute for now and goes to examine the last door. She opens it to find a large bedroom with a massive, fluffy-looking bed, sheets already turned down invitingly... She suddenly realizes just how tired she is.
"You should take a nap there," the voice suggests. "It's not a trap, cross my heart. Well, it's not a lethal trap, anyway. Who knows? You might even enjoy it."
An opulent rug covers most of the creaky wooden floorboards. There's a small nightstand beside the bed, a desk in one corner, and a large chest at the foot of the bed. It strikes Melody that she may be able to find a replacement pair of shoes in here. It would be nice if she could stop padding around barefoot in this grimy place. And there's probably a reason she got back everything but her sandals.
A pair of windows along the right wall that look out into... If Melody's not wrong, they look into the room next door, the one with the chute?
Another door opens up to the left. A smaller rug sits at that door.

Warily grab some shoes. Caution and stuff. No naps.

(She might find some, if you look in the right places. Or maybe not. Don't forget Diana.)

I don't think I can provide any useful info for you here, but...I suggest you burn the whole mansion down.

K, fine. The bed wants to eat you, so just leave, yeah? It wants you to fall asleep on it and getting close to it, you'll surely trigger one of its temptation traps.

I don't think I can provide any useful info for you here, but...I suggest you burn the whole mansion down. Since the objective is just to reunite with Diana and have both get out of the house, the the extra lives work for both, burning the place down and letting her revive in the wreckage would... technically work? But no.

Diana slam-tackles the box as hard as she can. Huge cracks appear in the damaged wall... and the box begins to tip over and fall. It shatters open, spilling the remaining water and Diana onto the floor. She's a bit damaged by the impact.
She takes stock of the room. It looks like the box had been resting on an old table. Tons of other old furniture and assorted junk fills the room. She could spend some time going through it all.
A single door leads out of the room. Melody decides she's not willing to brave the rug just to search the chest for clothes, nor is she stupid enough to follow the evil voice's recommendation of crawling into the bed.
She instead makes her way to the far door, carefully skirting the smaller rug. She opens it slowly to find... a small cemetery. It's no larger than the master bedroom, and surrounded by a wrought-iron fence capped with deadly-looking spikes on two of the other sides, and a blank wall on the fourth. The dirt ground is hard, and what little grass there is appears dry and cracked. Four gravestones line the far wall. Three are blank. The fourth, sitting behind a small mound of freshly-moved dirt, is labeled "Melody."

(I forgot the #1 rule of building dungeons: assume your players will obsessively explore every room... I think I'm going to give you that thing I said you'd get if Melody died again soon, regardless.)
