Natsumi gets to work, grabbing some of the floating puyos and starting to stack them with Oiya. Barfy and Dana move in to attack, but from above, tetriminos suddenly drop down, creating a protective wall. Wait, tetriminos AND puyos at the same time!? Natsumi notices tetriminos are about to drop down on top of her from above while puyos are still floating around the area. Oiya notices that when Ex drops tetriminos on his puyos, it falls through them and they pop before dropping on top of them.

Wait, so... the tetrimino drops to the bottom, then the puyo tower reforms on top of it...?

Natsumi's going to calmly get out of the way of he falling tetriminos, and Dana's going to take over Natsumi-moving-duty to guide her along while Natsumi focuses on the fight. Barfy will keep running around and looking for an angle to shoot this guy. Natsumi's going to try to set up a base of tetriminos and one column of puyos so that dropping a piece into that column will force the jigglers up and into a puyo chain. She'll grab the first LINE PIECE she sees and use ADVANCED TECHNIQUES to hold it until the right moment. "I know a few tricks, too! Mom's a huge nerd for these retro games."

Natsumi steps out of the way of one of the tetriminos about to hit her. Dana then runs over and helps her evade the falling blocks while Natsumi drops her tetrimino to start up a puyo chain. Barfy unleashes a beam of electricity at Ex and causes gray puyo blocks to fall on top of his tower. Natsumi then holds onto a line piece while stating she has a few tricks too. Ex stays calm and takes one of the falling tetriminos, dropping it on the gray puyos and popping them! While the normal puyos reform on top of the tetris piece, the gray ones don't regenerate! A line of tetriminos clear, but cause the puyos to fall into a chain! "Mix chain!" Ex is starting up his attacks! "Speed up!" He fires a bolt from his hand, hitting Barfy. "Feel the rush!" He fires another bolt from the other hand, pointing it at Natsumi like a finger gun. "Hard drop!" Dana is suddenly dropped into the ground heavily, taking damage from crashing into the ground. Natsumi's towers are now covered in gray puyos as well! It looks like she has a hoard of regular puyos flying towards her now. She still has her line tetrimino on hold as well.

Dana scrambles back up to guard duty, swatting the puyos towards Dickbag to mess up his setup. She throws a peace ward on Dana and copies his gray-puyo crushing technique while she keeps setting up what she now assumes is called a mix chain.
Barfy keeps looking for opening in his wall-guard.

Dana scrambles back up and starts swatting floating puyos at Ex while keeping Natsumi from getting crushed. Natsumi places a Peace Ward on Dana while telling Oiya to drop a tetrimino on the gray puyos. They gray ones pop before she causes a line to clear. Natsumi then throws some puyos on there to quickly match a few, causing a mix chain! Barfy is filled with magic power and spits a ball of fire at Ex. Ex quickly clears a few puyos, however, and matches Natsumi's movement, blasting back and causing the two attacks to neutralize. Ex seems to be gathering up a lot of tetriminos. Barfy can't see over the wall anymore. There's puyos sitting, filled up in the opening of his tower as well...

Barfy's going to try shooting the puyos in the column with a zap bolt.
Dana's going to take over instruction and stay on the defensive to give Natty a minute to drop back and collect herself.
"Bleh. I can't use that same trick to keep him busy if he can pop grey bloobers so easily. And I can't keep up with that line drop thing... But this isn't over! Let's try... this?"
Once Natsumi's back, Dana'll go back to babysitting. Natsumi's going to calmly start building a chain while ignoring what the other guy's doing. She'll wait until he starts his next combo and purposefully let it go through, tossing a Retribution Ward through the gap. Then she'll trigger her own chain using a tetrimino to shove stuff up and under the greys.
