Delia looks around for a bit, then points to a piece of rod-like scrap metal she has laying around. "You could probably bash things with that."

Cyrus, Francis, and Kayla
Francis unleashes a battle cry and tries to charge into a portal.
"That's... good enthusiasm, but I have to turn it on first. Everyone ready?" Delia asks.
She isn't really asking. She presses a few more keys on the machine, and a spark appears in the air beside the device. Then another. More and larger bolts start appearing. A visible distortion begins to appear, the air shimmering like a heat haze. It starts to stabilize and a head-sized purplish orb appears. Looking at the orb, you can see figures that look kind of like that place, but less foggy...
The orb continues to slowly grow larger. Delia has an insane grin plastered across her face and she lets out an insane cackle.

Goes to take a selfie with ominous purple orb thing.
Then lets out one last Bwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa before charge.

Kayla, Cyrus, and Francis
Kayla takes a few pictures of the anomaly.
Kayla's Photography check: 54/27 - Not great
She manages to get a few photos. She won't be sure how well they came out until she develops them, but she gets the feeling they aren't great quality. They'll at least get the point across, but she kind of doubts they'll show the other world or anything like that.
Cyrus readies his pipe for the first thing to come through the portal.
Francis also takes a (low-quality) picture while screaming like a lunatic.
Kayla asks Delia how long it will be before they can enter the portal. Delia waves her finger in the air while muttering about math. "Well, I'd say about-"
Francis screams again and attempts to jump through the portal as it's still expanding.
Francis' Head
Francis manages to get her head through the portal, and most of her arms. She takes a look around and confirms this is indeed where they were the other night. The fog's cleared up quite a bit, and she can see much further. It actually looks... rather beautiful. Sprawling purple plains, intricate coral-like plants, a jet-black sky dotted with some of the largest stars Francis has seen...
Kayla, Cyrus, and Francis' Body
"Uh..." Delia stares at Francis. She's in the portal up to her chest, but seems to be a bit... stuck. Her back half is suspended in the air.

Kayla takes a picture of Francis, then pushes the rest of her body inside the portal, before entering herself.

Francis continues to float, flailing a bit. Kayla takes advantage of the moment to take a few photos of her butt.
Nice.
Kayla grabs one of her legs, and Delia grabs the other. They shove her the rest of the way through the portal. "Should I shove you two through, too, or do you want to wait for it to get a bit larger...?"
While she asks, she excitedly flits about, collecting all kinds of strange equipment in a sizable duffle bag, as well as a small library of arcane reference books and blank notepads.
Francis
You feel something grabbing your legs, then you're shoved the rest of the way through the portal. You thud onto the sand-like ground below. Ow.
