With the plant down, the party heads in and everyone attacks together. The Giant Tanglerose is quickly defeated and the battle is won.

Vie Lv 2 -> 3 NEW SKILL
With everything calm afterwards, you notice one of the large note trees were smashed by the Giant Tanglerose, revealing the location of a Wood Note inside.
Jonathan, Varon
Erika uses her swords to strike at one of the wolves followed by a leaf toss from Leafet, taking it out. Varon then releases a loud shout that stun the wolves with sonic energy before Jonathan and Frostoise perform their flail combo together to take the rest of the wolves out.

Leafet Lv 2 -> 3 NEW SKILL
Jonathan then gathers what materials he can from the defeated enemies, gaining five wood pelts in total. As he finishes gathering from them, another loud howl comes from the deep woods. Leafet's fur poofs up and Erika steps back, behind Jonathan as a giant werewolf creature comes charging through the forest.

"Phew... we did it..." Elegra sighs. She wipes her sword off and returns it to the sheath with some difficulty, then takes a seat on one of the broken tree trunks. "I need a sec, Coach."
(do we do new skills here, in sign up, or in the compendium?)

Alright then, Frostoise will use She'll Guard in front of Jonathan, and Jonathan will prop its shell up vertically (not quite vertical, slightly tilted towards him) using his knee to quickly lift Frostoise up and his shoulder to hold him there. Use him like a giant shield to block the attack, then Lash at the Wooden Werewolf while moving his arm back so that Frostoise can get back on its feet but not so quickly that it crashes into the ground.

The Wooden Werewolf charges forward, attempting to attack Frostoise twice with powerful claws, but he retracts into his shell while Varon creates a wind barrier that damages the enemy back twice. The attack is completely blocked and Frostoise is undamaged as Jonathon whips the enemy from behind him. Erika shakes slightly, but tosses both of her swords out toward the enemy werewolf, spinning around with them out to damage them twice before grabbing the chains and pulling the swords back to her. As she quickly drops to the ground to grab her swords, Leafet hops up and launches a leaf into the enemy. It looks like he didn't do much damage though. The werewolf steps back and howls, not changing targets.

B-Ball Mage snags the Wood Note, and I guess it's about time we head back to base? We took some fair damage so far, so I think it's time to head back.

Elegra hops back up and rolls her shoulders. "I can keep going if we need to, but honestly I wouldn't mind a good meal and a nice rest. Want to check that thing for any useful materials before we head back, at least?" Elegra asks, looking at the corpse.

Varon unleashes a gust of wind at the enemy while Jonathan continues to use Frostoise as a shield, whipping the enemy form behind him. Erika throws one of her swords into the enemy again and quickly pulls it back before the enemy attacks. It lets out a loud howl before striking at Frostoise multiple times with a combo of powerful moves. Luckily, the damage is lessened, but Frostoise is still damaged. Leafet then hops up on its front paws and hops around on them tossing a berry at Frostoise with its tail. It seems to heal him and Frostoise is back at full strength. "Oh. Leafet learned a new move...!"
