You pick up your playing cards and the knitting needles, placing them in your pockets before setting out.
As you exit into the hall, you can hear Jennifer downstairs. You remember promising to work so you can stay in the room. Keeping that promise, you head downstairs and see her there. "Oh, good, you're awake." She smiles at you. "Don't worry, I won't make you do anything too complicated. I just need you to watch over the store while I'm gone. The prices for everything should be listed, so if someone wants to buy something, it should be fairly easy to help them out. I won't be gone for too long, so don't worry about making mistakes. If something happens, I'll be back soon to help."
With that, she leaves you in the store on your own.

You decide to take up the job as she said and get behind the counter, relaxing and waiting for a bit. This isn't too bad. You just get to sit at the cash register and wait around a bit. Just as you start to relax and get comfortable, a young man about your age comes running in through the door.
His hair is short and blond with a bad case of bed head. His clothes seem to be mostly dark colors. He wears black jeans along with a red shirt and a leather jacket. You notice he's also got some kind of chain style necklace on. He's wearing black and white sneakers as well. He looks a little panicked...
"Listen dude, you gotta help me out real fast. Er...I know this looks a little sketchy, but I need your help. You got anywhere I could hide?"
Before you can respond, you notice what looks like the police outside the store window running by and searching around.
"Shit! It's the cops...!"
A. "Quick, hide behind the counter!"
B. "Hey, if you're not going to buy anything, get out."
C. "POLICE, HE'S IN HERE!"
D. "Just pretend your shopping in here."
E. "Go upstairs, I'll handle this."
F. "I don't need trouble. Please leave."
G. "I'll help you. If there's something in it for me."
H. Save

"Just pretend you're shopping in here."
"I really don't think-" As he's in the middle of speaking, the door opens. "Shit..." He starts to pretend to look busy, looking around at the various jewelry things for sale.
The police walk in and look around. One of the cops notices him and points. "There he is. Cuff him, boys."
The other police then head over and catch him, placing hand cuffs on him. "No! I was framed, I swear!"
"Yeah, whatever, kid. We saw you stealing. And then you come into a jewelry store to keep on pilfering? You little twerp."
"It's not fair! Don't I get to say something? Let go of me!" He looks over at you angrily. "You were supposed to help me!"
The take him out of the store and the lead officer heads over to you at the counter. "Sorry for disturbing you. We caught that little punk stealing valuable electronics down the street. Seems he got his hands on a new phone. Eh, the things kids will do for their gadgets these days. Anyhow, sorry again. We'll be seeing you." The officer waves as she heads out with the others.
You watch as they bring that guy into their car and drive off with him. He seems angry with you. Did you do the right thing...?
