Cinder goes outside, looking to see if there are any signs of footprints. If there are and they don't look like they were left by part of the group, Cinder will follow them.

Personalities of characters that were abandoned
Char: Overconfident Pokemon that always wants to get stronger and focuses on leveling up. He wants to evolve to his final form first.
Pip: No personality at all
Vereor: Hopeless romantic that has tried to date some of the enemies you encountered already. She loves novels too and often has intelligent responses.
Werp: Very...lazy? Stupid? Something like that. Werp was very Slowpoke if you get what I mean.
Also, yes, Vereor is a female

Okay well Paula and Chip will look around for clues around the room. Afterwards walk around town.

Time: Night Before
Location: Room
Paula returns to her room completely drained from the mission. "Remind me to never take a Pika when ot comes to legendaries again," Paula said as she flopped onto the bed. "Well Chip looks like you had a busy day today," Paula said as she curled up next to the sleeping Pichu. "So much has happened since I came here, so much has happened before I got here, so much zzzzzzz," Paula said as she fell asleep.
Another memory of Paula's began to reach the surface of her mind. A memory from when Paula was human. The memory then began to play in Paula's mind as she was asleep.
Location: Contest Hall
"There you have it folks, allow me to introduce the following contestants for todays contestant," The host said as Paula stood on the stage. Paula was join by her Pichu, Ratta, and Fletching and she was shaken on the inside. Paula was very nervous about this being her first contest.
"To think guys this is the very first contest, step one to obtaining my dream pf being Kalos Queen," Paula said with a bunch of nervous energy. Chu looked at Paula and tried his best to calm her down. Flanna and Nat were also looking at her with a look of determination.
"Pichu pi piiiichhuuuu," Chu said making an adorable face to lift up Paula's spirit.
"Rattaaata, ratta rat," Nat told her as he stood on his hind legs and began adjusting his little bow tie he was wearing.
"Fleth fletch Fletching, Fle Fle Fletching," Flanna chirpped as she perched herself on Paula's shoulder, and began bopping her head to the opening music.
"You guys are the best," Paula said hugging her Pokemon. "You guys are absolutely right who cares how it turns out, I living my dream and thats to perform with you guys," Paula said.
"First off introducing Paula, she will be making her very first performance today, so give her round of appluase," The host said as the curtain pulled open and revealed Paula along with her Pokemon.
"This is it guys, now lets go out there and let's have fun," Paula said as she began to perform. After what seemed an enternity Paula's performance was over and she went to the backstage to wait for the rest of the performances to finsh. "Come her Chu, Nat, and Flanna with you guys by my side we will be Kalos Queen no time," Paula said squeezing her Pokemon.
"Now for the moment you all have been waiting for, please give a big round of applause for our contestants," the host said. "You all did a wonderful job today but unfortunately, there can only be one winner of the princess key," the host said as his Pokemon Keflika came to the stage to present the winner with the princess key.
Unfortunately, Paula didn't win the contest she later found out she finished 3rd but Paula was actually kinda of happy. "Thanks to you guys we finshed third, that just means next time we have to try harder," Paula said as her Pokemon cheered in agreement. Suddenly, the vision began to fade and everything returned to normal.
Paula was curled up next to Chip clutching him tightly. "Thank you so much my beloved friends," Paula whispered as she was sound asleep.

Paula, Chip, and Snorx check the meeting room where the Shadow Gem was stored for any clues, but don't really find anything. It looks like whoever took the gem didn't even have to open doors or anything. Like they teleported into the room.

Cinder decides to ask if anyone knows about the strange Pokemon. It seems that for the most part nobody knows. When he goes to ask Sparky, the Raichu casually responds. "Yep, there was a legendary Pokemon here last night."

Cinder blinks in surprise at how casually Sparky revealed a legendary stopped by the other day.
"You wouldn't happen to know which one it was and what use they would have with a Shadow Gem, would you Sir?"
