Tab quickly runs into one of the Hellhounds on his scooter followed by two basic attacks from Dogachu and Fox. Once they're done attacking, Somnis unleashes her charged attack. "Take this! Crystal Beaaaaaaammmmm!" She puts her hands together and unleashes a gigantic beam of white light from her hands, heavily damaging all enemies currently engaged in battle and taking them all down.

Oh, okay.
Somnis looks over to Dogachu and asks him to help out with searching for Karl. Dogachu lets out a bark and starts sniffing the ground and running off toward the huge volcano. The party follows after and finds that he leads them over to the other party that split off. They're currently fighting what seems to be a hoard of Hellhounds. You notice that among them is a larger and more powerful looking Alpha Hellhound. Without taking much time the party jumps in to help in the battle.

Dogachu starts off with a loud howl that boosts everyone's attack. Lance then calls out a guard order for his allies, raising their defense. Raine quickly calls forth a powerful storm that rages through the battlefield before the others can move that damages all the Hellhounds effectively. Somnis follows with a bright flash of light that deals light damage to all enemies and blinds the Hellhound Horde. Tab quickly tosses a paper at the Alpha from a distance while Laura starts to unleash rapid punches on the enemy Hellhound Horde. Tom activates a scanner on his sunglasses, gathering information on the alpha.
"That's called an Alpha Hellhound. It can raise the power of its allies with howls and attack with fire based attacks. It's most dangerous ability, however, is the power to call all of its allies to attack a single opponent at once. That many attacks in a row can be devastating. We need to be careful. It's weak to water element attacks and vulnerable to the freeze status effect. It's immune to fire and burns as well."
Avel launches an electrical arrow into the alpha, but it doesn't appear to be paralyzed. Mattea then summons a bat that bites the alpha, dealing some damage and successfully poisoning it. Fox throws some of his exploding shurikens at the Hellhound Horde, but doesn't appear to do much in terms of damage. Buttons then summons an imp that flies around the alpha and continues to attack it every turn, pestering it and laughing.
The Alpha Hellhound then lets out a loud howl, raising the attack power of its allies before the Hellhound Hoard all attack the party together with flaming fangs, dealing fire damage to everyone.

Somnis - "That's a looooot of flaming teeth."
Dogachu - "Howl!"
Laura - "Okay, ow."
Tom - "We have to watch for that all out attack. There's no way we'll survive it if we aren't prepared."
Fox - "I hate feeling useless. I should have picked up a water element weapon in Coconut Island..."
Buttons - "Oh, you poisoned it. What? No, I'm not impressed!"
Raine - "Ow! I think I might be weak to fire attacks..."
Avel - "I don't think you can inflict more than one ailment at a time, can you?"
Lance - "Stay strong, everyone! We can do this!"
Mattea - "Aww, the bats here are so cute!"

Raine calls forth a gentle wind with cherry blossoms floating in the breeze, fully healing everyone aside from herself. Tab then drives in and runs over a few Hellhounds with his scooter before the others can move. Laura creates two shields of light from her gauntlets and stands at the front of the party, ready to take attacks. Lance then calls forth another defensive order, raising everyone's defense again. Tom aims his gun carefully and manages to shoot the Alpha Hellhound along with one of the normal Hellhounds in the horde. Dogachu follows his attack by unleashing a breath of black flames from his mouth and raining the flames over his enemies, damaging all of them at once. Somnis then creates a light around the entire party, fully healing everyone. Fox and Mattea both use normal attacks on the Hellhound Horde before Avel unleashes two arrows into the Alpha at the same time. Buttons then draws a mysterious mark in the air before the Alpha's shadow explodes, damaging it further.
The Alpha howls and raises its offense again along with its allies. The Hellhound Horde then charges in and all lands flaming bite attacks for every party member. Laura intercepts the Hellhounds and blocks out their flaming fangs, but she's also badly hurt in the process, being left very injured. The Alpha is then injured by its poison at the end of the round.

Laura - "Ngh...Need...healing..."
Tom - "Laura! Hang in there!"
Fox - "Why does it keep howling? I think it's planning something!"

Raine - "Be careful, Laura. Every time you protect us, you're hit one more time."
Avel - "Just keep attacking the Alpha."
Lance - "Hold fast and raise your defenses! The enemy is going to hit us with all they've got!"
Mattea - "Hey, how come I can't make things explode like you guys? No fair..."

Laura falls back, retreating from the crowd and getting in a defensive stance. Raine releases a green light that causes a plant to start to grow near Lance. Somnis then takes out her bow and quickly launches a feather into the Alpha, preparing more feathers as well. Tab continues to attack the horde by running them over with his scooter quickly. Dogachu then jumps forward at the Alpha and shreds away at it with his sharp jaws. Somnis releases another feather quickly before taking another one and preparing it. Tom shoots some medic bullets at Laura, healing her decently. Fox summons a flaming fox that bites the Alpha as Somnis unleashes another feather arrow into the Alpha. Buttons then causes the Alpha's shadow to explode as Somnis launches another arrow into him. Avel launches an arrow of his own into the Alpha in unison with another one of Somnis' arrows. Mattea then whips the Alpha and Somnis launches another arrow into him.
The then weak Alpha lets out a loud howl as all the Hellhounds charge at the same time. Lance steps forward and blocks the incoming damage for his allies, but seems to barely survive the attack. Raine's flower then blooms, releasing a healing light around Lance and almost fully restoring his health. Somnis then takes out one last arrow and aims it carefully at the Alpha, filling it with light energy. She then releases it and it pierces through the enemy, taking it down.

As the party stands there, exhausted from the battle, they notice Lisa, Robbie, Morgan, and Julia running towards them. Somnis looks happy to see them before she realizes that a huge crowd of flaming soldier enemies are chasing behind them. Lisa shouts to her in the distance. "RUN, SOMNIS!"
Soon, everyone is running from a huge crowd of enemy soldiers all the way back to the exit, leaving the enemies looking around, confused.

Friday, October 7th, Rainy
Somnis wakes up to a new day. She then quickly gets ready and runs off to school. The day passes as usual, but it seems there's someone new at school today. She's a short Japanese girl with a dark tan and blond hair. Apparently, her name is Kumiko. Somnis' phone also buzzes and reminds her that today is Buttons' birthday! She has to remember to give him her present! After her classes in the morning, the bell rings and it's time for lunch.
The investigation team stops by and brings Somnis with them to eat lunch together. It seems like they want to bring her to their special place where they talk about the other world. Somnis follows them and finds that it's the same place that she went last time when they were talking to her and she threw a sandwich at Julia. It looks really pretty in the rain. Somnis looks around in wonder for a moment, seeing all the many flowers. Lisa then nudges her with her elbow and whispers to her. "Somnis, pay attention."
A. "What? I'm paying attention! You need to pay attention!"
B. "Sorry, cutie~"
C. "Hey, Raine, did you grow all these yourself?"
D. "Happy birthday, Buttons! I got you a present!"
E. "So we saved Karl, but...wasn't there another guy?"
F. "So which one of you is the murderer...?"
G. "So what are we going to do now?"

Tab starts eating his lunch in a kinda mopey manner. "As much as I enjoyed being pursued by an incendiary army, last night was incredibly close to ending badly. While it's... great that we got Karl back, and that we managed to find another location to investigate, it's also ANOTHER heavily guarded location by the sounds of it. And the last time we had to break into a place like that in the other world, we cut it too close. It's a strong lead, but we'll need strong planning to do it. And there's also the question of Zack..."
"Wait, whats happening to Zack? After my plan to escape failed, I sort of passed out because of lack of bodily fluids. Give me a sum-up, ol Tabby boy!" Karl puts his arm over Tab.
"True Tab has a point they are most likely waiting for us as soon as we go back there." Morgan seems to be looking around for small and fuzzy animals.
"I have to be honest, we just searched for Karl and missed on most of the action... What exactly happened in there? I don't think Somnis had some of us captured once again to "protect them". Right?"
Lisa shakes her head. "No, Somnis didn't kidnap Karl. She would have told me and it wouldn't make sense for her to help us rescue him if she did."
Julia continues. "If there is a guardian in there, I assume it's not in control of the situation...None of them were evil as of now. Maybe whoever captured Karl also captured the guardian this time."
Fox thinks for a minute before responding. "Well, none of the Guardians have been evil, but that doesn't mean they haven't tried to hurt us. Balar attacked us, but only because he was protecting the forest."
Lisa then adds to his point. "Yeah, and Galleon wasn't evil either. But he wasn't full on our ally the second we met him. While he was only trying to help Somnis when you guys met him, all of the monsters there hated humans while we were there."
Tab pushes Karl off of him. "Don't touch me. Personally, I suggest collecting more materials for new armor first. Maybe we could even spend a night asking someone like Galleon or Solaria for information. That's my take on what we should do."
"That's right maybe Solaria can help us. It's has been a while since I seen her and she is really pretty." Morgan blushes thinking of Solaria.
Karl seems surprised at Morgan's response. "Holy crap? You like plant girls? I gotta tell Zack about this..."
"What no I just think she is pretty. Wait why tell Zack of all people would he even care?"
Robbie cuts into the conversation. "First we gotta save him, then ya' can tell him all about Morgan and this Solaria gal. Her an' Tab are right about askin' fer help though, I don't know much about Solaria and I didn't see ya guys fightin' Galleon but if he's got some kinda water powers I reckon they'll do a number on those fire guys."
Mattea crosses her arms and tilts her head slightly. "As nice a thought it might be to be prepared with new equipment and information, how can we be sure we even have time for all that stuff?"
Tom leans back against the gazebo and adds to what Mattea has to say. "She's right. While we had all the time we needed with Lance since Galleon wasn't going to hurt him, who's to say these guys won't just execute Zack?"
Lance seems to be thinking deeply on what to do. "Well we can't just go in guns blazing. We nearly got wiped out last night by that huge army. Not to mention the Hellhounds. We need to make sure we're properly prepared and have a good plan. As annoying as it is to say we have to wait, we can't rush this."
Laura seems to remember something. "Right...if we fall in battle then there won't be anyone else that can save Zack. Actually...has anyone seen Alice recently? She's been gone for a while too." The others give a collective shaking of their heads to say no.
A look of concern comes over Fox. "I did think it was weird that she'd be absent from school two days in a row..."
Lisa then notices Somnis spacing out and nudges her with her elbow, whispering to her. "Somnis, pay attention."
Somnis then looks around surprised. "What? I'm paying attention! You need to pay attention!" Lisa rolls her eyes at that comment. "Hey, Raine, did you grow these all by yourself?"
"Um...the flowers? Yeah..."
"Oh, cool! So which one of you is the murderer...?"
Raine looks shocked. "Wh-What!?"
A. "Well..." (Explain all you know)
B. "I heard Zack and some girl talking, so it must be a girl in your group."
C. "Haha! Just a joke."
D. "I guess I should say murderers since it could be more than one of you..."
E. "Well, the murderer is probably..." (Select a character and give evidence)
F. "Hmm...probably too soon to make a call, huh?"

Morgan starts mumbling something about ferrets and mafias and murders and pop tarts, but most of it seems like nonsense.
"WELL..." Somnis takes in the deepest breath ever.
"I remember hearing Zack talk to some girl in the basement at school. She said his name, that's how I know it was him. They were talking about the other world and how they needed to 'get rid' of Lance. So I know for a fact that Zack has to be connected with the murderers, but neither him or the girl seemed like they wanted to kill Lance. In fact, I think the girl was crying. So we know that someone ELSE is MAKING them do it. But I don't know who it is. I also don't know why they would want to kill Lance either. What reason would they have to go so far as to kill him if their entire operation is secret? I also don't know if the other murderer is in this group or if there's some outside group we don't know about. There might be more than two killers. But I know that Zack was with one of them. Now that brings up the fact of why was Zack captured? Was this part of the unknown's plan that is controlling him? Was it a mistake and he was caught off guard? Maybe it's all a setup to make him look innocent. I also had a dream where Morgan killed Solaria and that's really really suspicious. Also also my dreams are really weird and seem to magically help me look into the past, present, future, and see helpful visions. There's also this guy in my dream that gave me three items and when I woke up I was holding them. It was a letter to Avel, a locket for Mattea, and a coloring book for Zack. Maybe that means all three of them are connected somehow and are part of the murderer group. He said something about it helping the heroes that were lost or something like that. Maybe the guy in my dream is evil and playing us all for fools! I dunno! He just randomly showed up one day. Actually, I think my first dream with him was when I first moved here. I feel like I have a pretty good guess as to who the murderer is, but I'm not completely sure and accusing people of being a murderer makes me look like a murderer and I am not the murderer. And I don't wanna call you guys fake heroes or anything, but there HAS to be some kind of traitor in the group. And...and...I think that's everything?"
Most of the group just stares at her in silence...

Tab gets up and glares at Somnis with a look of deep suspicion, slamming his hands on the table. "Give us a reason as to why we should believe a single word of your ridiculousness. Or leave. Your move."
A. "I...Uh..."
B. "Whoa, chill out! I didn't say anything wrong!"
C. "How about you leave?"
D. "I thought we were friends, Tab..."
E. "Because I'm cute...?"
F. "Look, Mattea's wearing that locket right now."
G. "Why so defensive, huh? Maybe your a murderer too!"

Morgan stands up without saying a word and calmly approaches Somnis. Before Somnis or annyone can do or stop her. Morgan punches Somnis as hard as she can in the jaw. Somnis is dazed for a moment, looking up at Morgan. She can taste blood in her mouth.
"You stupid f****** b**** accusing me of murdering a guardian when the truth was at the time she was-"
Lisa immediately tackles Morgan to the ground. "Nobody hurts Somnis!" She then raises a fist to hit Morgan back, but Somnis reaches out her hand and grabs it.
"Lisa..." Her speech seems to be hindered from the injury on her lip and it hurts her mouth to speak.
Lisa looks at Somnis and her expression changes immediately from anger to sadness. "Somnis...I'm so sorry..." She then grabs Somnis by the hand and leads her out of the area, not turning back. "Stay away from us. I don't want to see you again..."
Afternoon
Lisa takes Somnis away from school and back home. Luckily, Somnis' mom doesn't seem to be there so there's no need to explain anything. Lisa helps Somnis with her mouth, making sure to take proper care of it. She then sits Somnis on the couch and looks at her. "Somnis...I'm sorry, I should have known something like that would happen. Those people are...it was so obvious..." It looks like tears are starting to form in her eyes. "I promised to keep you safe, but all I've ever done is put you in harm's way..."
A. "Yeah, you kind of suck."
B. "Don't say that..."
C. "That's not true!"
D. "How could you know she was going to do that?"
E. "Please don't cry..."
F. *hug*
G. "Morgan was completely right and I'm entirely wrong for telling her all the information I know. We should go back and bow down to queen Morgan, our lord and savior."

"It's not...just Morgan. I just...you wouldn't be in any of this mess if it weren't for me. The other world, the murderers, everything. All I end up do is getting you hurt, Somnis." Somnis goes in to hug Lisa, but she steps back. "No."
"...Lisa."
"No, I'm going away. If I stay around, you'll only get hurt more..."
"No, that's not true, Lisa."
"Be quiet! Just be selfish for once Somnis! Take care of yourself and forget about me! I don't want you to be hurt anymore..." Lisa quickly backs up and turns, running out the door.
"No, come back!" Somnis starts to run after her, but trips and falls over. "Lisa!"
The path to the true power of Lisa's heart has been opened. Somnis and Lisa achieve relationship rank 9!
I have to stop Lisa! I don't know where she ran off to, but it can't be good.
Dogachu runs up to Somnis and gives her a determined bark.
"Yeah, let's find her together."

The river. That's got to be it.
Somnis runs off over to where the river is with Dogachu following close behind.
"Lisa! Are you here? Lisa! Answer me!" Somnis runs down along the riverside, searching frantically for Lisa. Dogachu follows at her side, barking as well almost as if calling out to Lisa himself. "...Where did you go...? Lisaaaaa!"
This river...this is where Lisa and I went to Coconut Island. We spent the entire night there. It was during that festival when we met Galleon. I remember that night was special. That was the night she told me I was her closest friend. She must care a lot about me. I can see why she might think she's hurt me so much, but...it's just not true. Deep down, I know that I love her. She's made my life something greater than it ever was before without her...
Somnis then snaps back to reality as Dogachu starts barking at her. "What is it, Dogachu?" Dogachu runs over to a girl standing by the river. She just seems to be watching the water flow by and thinking. Somnis feels like she remembers this girl...
"Huh? Oh, hey Somnis." A look of realization then passes over her. "Oh, right! I have something I wanted to give you. Lisa left this when you both ran off at lunch today. I know she didn't want to see us again, but this seemed like it might be something important to her. Here." Mattea hands Somnis the Silver Bracelet. "I thought the little heart on it might mean something. Like a gift from you to her? You are her girlfriend, right? Well, anyway, see you around." She then starts to walk off.
A bracelet? I don't remember giving Lisa any presents like this. It is really pretty though. Looks like something I would wear...
"Wait, Mattea."
She turns back to face Somnis. "Yeah?"
"Have you seen Lisa anywhere today? I've been looking for her. Uh..."
A. Tell her you think Lisa might do something dangerous
B. Tell her Lisa ran away
C. Tell her Lisa wanted to get away from you
D. Tell her Lisa's phone probably died
E. Tell her you think Lisa might hate you

A look of surprise and concern comes across Mattea's face. "What!? Why would she do that!?"
"She said that she caused me a lot of pain and that things were better if she just left."
"That's so stupid! I'm going with you. I...know what it's like to have someone you care about disappear. Come on, we've got to keep searching. I'm sure we'll find Lisa together if we search hard enough. And for the love of ferrets, take this umbrella! Geez, you're soaked. You'll get a cold like that." Mattea hands her umbrella over to Somnis.
"Thank you Mattea." Somnis smiles and holds the umbrella so both she and Mattea can avoid the rain.
"What? Don't look at me like that! Any sane person would help you anyway..." She looks off to the side, away from Somnis before Somnis hears her phone ringing. She quickly answers it.
"Hello? This is Somnis. Who's calling?"

"It's Tab. Look, I... I still question the validity of your side of the matter, but what Morgan did today was over the line. It's not the same, but I apologize on her behalf. And, um... I wanted to check on you. Are you well now? You're not thinking of doing anything rash, are you?"
A. "SHUT UP, TAB, THERE'S NO TIME! I HAVE TO FIND LISA!"
B. "No, I'm fine. Just spending time with Mattea."
C. "Uh...no. I was just walking my dog...?"
D. "Oh, right, I completely forgot about all that stuff today. Haha!"
E. "What!? Morgan is mad at me!?"
F. "Tab...you yelled at me today. Do you hate me?"
G. "...Help me find Lisa."
