Tai smirks. "Well you're certainly good at catching fish." Tai takes a moment to text Leia.
"I believe I found a portal at the school based on some pictures this kid took and what Dewey told me. Besides that I haven't spent any time searching. If the world is ending, I huess we should save it, but fuck it if we can't live our damn lives in the meantime, Leia."
Tai sighs and puts away his phone. "So what's the occasion, Mattea? And whatever did I do to deserve the honor of being inbited to such an exclusive event?" He says it smugly, but with a softness to his voice indicating no malice meant.

Mattea grins as she takes her seat. "Well. I did promise to do something nice for you if you helped out with the Trivia contest, right? Well. Asking Alice to do something is one thing, but I wanted to do something nice for you myself, too. So, a nice dinner." Her grin widens as she daintily spreads her napkin across her lap. "And after dinner we could play some nice games. Monopoly, maybe, or Twister. Perhaps Strip Poker."
Natsumi coughs as she chokes on her soup. Her face starts to turn red.
Sachi looks confused. "What's that?"
"Oh, it's like normal poker, but you keep score with clothes instead of chips," Mattea explains.
"Huh." Sachi returns to eating his vegetables.
"Th-those are some... interesting choices..." Natsumi says with a nervous laugh. She starts blush brightly. "I like some of those games."
Mattea laughs. "Oh, good. Hm... did you glance at Tai just now?"
Natsumi laughs again. She looks like she's so red you're worried she might explode. "What? N-no..." She hurries to take a long sip from her drink.

Tai opts for water this time around. He sips on it casually. "Thanks I guess, even though this seems way overboard for not even getting first. And we don't have to play strip poker if it makes anyone uncomfortable." Tai says this without implicating anyone, though he figured it was pretty obvious anyways. "I don't really give a fuck either way, though."
He bites into his meal mannerfully and without urgency. "Gotta say Sachi, with cooking like this, you should have all the girls and guys eating out of the palm of your hand, literally."

Natsumi loudly laughs again. "Monopoly sounds great! Or Twister, both good!" She hides her face with her hands.
Sachi looks interested by Tai's suggestion. "Really?" He picks up a piece of zucchini, holds it in his palm, and holds it out to Mattea.
Mattea laughs and eats it out of his palm. Sachi looks shocked. "Whoa, it worked."
"Yes, yes," Mattea says.
"I need to use this power responsibly..." Sachi mutters to himself.

Tai genuinely laughs. The assuredness and caution gone from his voice. His whole frame seems to relax just a bit in a way that didn't seem common for him.
After a moment his shoulders seem to tighten up slightly. Not entirely, but still on guard.
"So Twister, eh? Who the fuck even came up with board games like these in the first place? Fuck it, I'll look it up later if I ever have some damn spare time. Let's do this shit. Not sure eating before was a brilliant idea though."

Mattea waves dismissively. "We can take a few minutes to chat first." You spend a few minutes talking about stuff, mostly things that have happened at school lately. Tai learns that Alice is getting out of the hospital tomorrow, and Mattea's going to go visit her.
You notice that Natsumi really, really doesn't handle alcohol well. After half a glass, she's beet-red and can't stop giggling. Mattea and Sachi seem perfectly normal.
Once the conversation winds down, everyone heads into the living room while Mattea sets up the game. You definitely notice that whenever she's calling the colors, she hides the spinner and you somehow seem to keep ending up awfully entangled with Natsumi... who is surprisingly good at this game, unlike Sachi. Mattea is aggressive at this game, applying some level of strategy. She closes in on people and pins them in. Sachi doesn't need any help losing, often falling over on his own, while Natsumi's too short to deal with the pressure.

Tai has a visible blush after the games get going. He feels heated in his hoodie and decides to take it off for once. Underneath is a form-fitting gray sshort-sleeved shirt.
As he plays, Tai is careful with his movements, and tries not to get too close to anyone's more intimate bits. He doesn't choreograph this, of course. He tries to keep an eye on Natsumi since she's rather tipsy.
"Damn... I don't actually think... I've ever played this stupid game before tonight. There's even more tension than I'd thought there'd be, damn it. Not that I give a fuck. You'd think master chef Sachi would be a bit more adaptable, eh? And I knew you were a tease, Mattea, but this isnt the kind of pinning I thought you were into. "
Tai smirks. He does hsi best playing and uses his height to the best of his ability for an edge.

You attempt to take advantage of your height. Mattea does her best to force you into corners and awkward positions, but in the end your height's enough to overcome her. She does have a tendency to drop on top of you and take you both out... probably on purpose. Your height's not enough to deal with Natsumi, though. The two of you seem almost perfectly evenly matched. She takes advantage of her size to wiggle into some spots you didn't expect her to reach.
After a few rounds, Sachi sighs. "I'm tired. I think I'm going to be really sore tomorrow, too."
Mattea laughs. "Probably. This has been fun, hm?"
"Y-yeah," Natsumi nods. "I think? I was kind of expecting this to turn out a lot... worse."
Mattea pulls her into a side-hug. "Aw, now why would you think that?"

Tai yawns, stretching. "I'll admit that I had fun mostly crushing you assholes at this game that eliminates the very concept of personal space. If you wanna play again sometime or need some loosening up tomorrow then talk Mattea and hire a PT. But I guess if that shit doesn't work then I'll be around." Tai smirks, but with less smugness and more actual joy in it. It's a bit of an awkward smile, but it's warm, nonetheless.
"Oh, yeah. And thanks Mattea. It wasn't terrible. Fuck it, this was borderline enjoyable even."

"Tomorrow? Oh, I'm taking Freya out for her birthday tomorrow... A-anyway, yeah, it was fun," Natsumi says.
"I'm going to go home and sleep," Sachi announces to no one and particular.
"Sure you don't want to sleep here?" Mattea asks.
"Huh." Sachi looks at the couch. "I guess I could."
Mattea is caught off-guard.

"As long as there's no issues with Mattea, then you should just sleep here, Sachi. It's safer than walking home at night partially intoxicated and I cant keep up with two of you."
Tai slyly winks at Mattea. "Whatever, it's late and when I don't get any sleep I'm even more of an asshole, so let's go Natty. Uh, and thanks again, Mattea. It was a nice thing for you to do this shit."

Sachi goes over and drops face-first into the couch. He seems to be asleep immediately. Mattea sighs and grabs a blanket off the back of a chair before tossing it on him. "Bye, Tai. See you later. Natty."
Natsumi gives one last wave before heading out behind you. "Well, that was... interesting." She staggers just a bit before catching herself, then giggles. "Hehe. Wine's interesting. Maybe I should call Dad... Nah. I can just catch the bus. It's not so far. Bye, Tai!"

Natsumi rolls her eyes at you. Wow, turning that around on you, huh? "It's fine, Tai. I'm not that drunk. See?" She proceeds to balance on one leg for a bit, long enough to make her point. But she lets you come along anyway. It's not that far out of the way. Natsumi quietly hums to herself on the ride back to her house. "So... You and Mattea, huh?"

Tai's expression stays neutral. "Mattea and I what, exactly? If you're implying what I think you are then I guess she's rubbing off on you a bit."
He takes a breath and looks away."Whatever, Natty. I don't know if I feel that way about her yet. I don't believe in that first sight shit cause it's shallow as hell, and it's hard to know when you've gotten deep enough to judge someone. It can also be annoying as fuck for that person and I'm not that much of an ass. Besides, she likes Sachi, the handsome fool, and I'll be damned if I can't make something good happen for someone for once in my life."
