Dewey spends the rest of his afternoon looking around town seeing what is and isn’t still standing, then as night falls he makes his way to the school and hides out waiting for the portal to open.

You head to the mall and make your way up towards the Fortune Teller Hut. On the way, you notice that grey-haired girl putting on a show in the arcade again. There's also a badly injured guy, one of the new arrivals, milling about.
Mareena greets you as you walk through the door. "Nora! Back for another reading so soon? Or have you come to tell me you've reconsidered being my apprentice, hm?"

Nora smiles. "Hello, Mareena. Your apprentice, hm... I had forgotten about that. These past few days have been chaotic for me... As I'm sure you're well aware. Sure, why not. As long as you don't mind me not being able to commit to a schedule, that is. What with school, my internship at Vitcorp, the play, and now my latest activities..."
She casually takes a seat, crossing her legs. "Which brings me to why I stopped by. We can skip past the part where you play coy, yes? I have a question, and I'd very much like to know if you can answer. Do you know where the portals to the Otherworld are located, the ones that haven't been found yet?"

"Let me see. Which ones are fine to talk about? Your lovely Alice could tell you about a few if you asked. The fire station and your school, the hospital, and the edge of town. And you probably guessed about the mall yourself. You'll learn about the train station tomorrow." Mareena thinks to herself, kicking faster with a wild grin. "It would be oh-so-naughty of me to say anything else, no? And you do know what happens to people who misbehave, right?"

She quickly writes down the locations on an app on her phone. "Hmm, that's more than I expected you to tell me. I'm very pleased. I won't press you for more... At least not yet, hm? "
She stands up. "Well! What would you like for your eager new apprentice to do first?"

"Well! One of my workers said she's not sure if she'll be here today. And she was scheduled to pass out flyers. So. I doubt we'll get any requests for special readings, considering. You should be able to handle regular customers well enough." Mareena nods to herself. "OK, then. You handle the shop. Prices are on this menu here. And if you get throuh without problems, I might teach you a simple but effective trick."
You spend some time doing fortune telling for the customers Marenna manages to send your way. Most people try to avoid making eye contact with her as they walk by, and Mareena ignores most of them. She seems to have a sixth sense about who to target - almost anyone she gets talking ends up coming in. And the vast majority are just looking for advice about money or relationship troubles.
After two hours, Mareena comes back. She takes out her phone and seems to be deep in thought before she hands you a few dollars. "Looks like you did fine. How was it?"

Mareena nods. "Very well. A simple trick..." Mareena takes her seat, rests her head in her hands, and grins at you. The lights slowly dim as she sits, immobile. "If you demonstrate something that can't be readily understood, people will have different reactions to it. Some will be mystified, others will be distracted, some annoyed, some convinced you have some supernatural ability... but even the most skeptic will be devoting some small part of their brain to unraveling the mystery, distracting them from your words and actions. There are plenty of tricks to choose from... but if you want to borrow mine, then maybe next time try dressing just a bit more like me and see if the answer reveals itself."
