Nora will take a few minutes walking around the mall, and send a text to Alice.
"Got some info from Mareena that might interest you. Wanna grab dinner?"

You notice Raine waiting outside the movie theater. She seems a bit more dressed up than usual. While you watch, that Sam girl you were fighting with shows up and starts talking to her. You also notice that girl in the arcade is still at it. That other transfer student, the intimidating one with all the bandages, is sitting at a table inside.
Sam
You arrive at the Mall and notice a few people are here but who cares about that, Raine.
She's standing outside the movie theater, leaning against the wall beside a horror movie poster. She casually plays with the end of her hair, lost in thought. It doesn't seem like she's noticed you.

Nora will spend a bit more time in the mall, then head home and spend the rest of the evening catching up on her own schoolwork and studying her lines for the play.

You head to the mall and immediately notice Raine and Sam standing in front of the movie theater, talking. The rich transfer British girl is on her way out. Vivi... Viol... whatever her name is in in the arcade playing some lightgun alien game with a guy covered in bandages. Probably just a fashion statement. Oh, and that Mareena girl who helped you find wings once is staring down at everyone coming and going from the top floor, like some kind of hawk stalking prey.

Raine giggles. "Yes, I look very Raine. It's one of my habits. I look very Freya, as well." She looks at the line of movie posters. "Y'know we still need to make a choice, Sam. Go ahead and pick what you want. I've already seen all of these except that new horror film, but I don't mind going to it alone next week."

"Mm-hm! I'm really excited. This is supposed to be a real goofy gore-fest." Raine smiles. "Slashers and thrillers can be fun in their own way, but there's something great about this sort of horror movie that doesn't forget it's a movie and hams it up some."
As Raine promised, the horror movie is filled with gore and blood and guts flying everywhere. People pop like balloons, filling the screen with what you are reasonably sure is at least twice as much blood as a human has. No one is safe, and no one survives in the end. It's right on the border between funny and scary - and Raine seems to find it funny. After the movie, she skips ahead of you on the way out, throws her arms behind her back, and giggles. "Those special effects were amazing! The way they combined CGI with traditional... Hehe. There's a lot you can do with CGI, but starting with a proper base makes them look that much better. Wasn't that fun?"

"Hm? Love of horror movies? Oh, it's not that I love horror movies. I love all movies!" Raine laughs again. "Well, maybe not all movies, but I enjoy most of them. It's amazing seeing all the work of so many different people come together! And the things they can do in movies that they can't do in live theater make it that much more amazing, right?"

Raine giggles. "Come on, silly. Don't forget we're still going shoe shopping. Oh, but let's go get some ice cream first."
She grabs Sam by the wrist and leads her a few stores down to a small ice cream shop. She waves at the guy working the counter and he waves back, then glances at Sam. "Let me see... I think I'm in the mood for some orange sorbet. What about you, Sam?"

Floyd arrives at the mall and makes a beeline for the top floor. Mareena gives Karl another glance, then heads back into her store.
Floyd
By the time you enter Mareena's shop, she's already behind her table.
"Is he.....OK?" Floyd asks.
"Karl? No. Not really."
"I got that impression.... well nothing I can do about that probably. But, umm not here for that I figured it was about time I tried out your services I owe you one after all"
"And what can THE GREAT MAREENA help you with today?"
Floyd scratches the back of his head "That's what I'm trying to figure out now honestly..... it can't hurt to start with an affinity reading right?"
"Oh-ho? Trying to see who thinks you're cute, are we?" Mareena places the crystal ball down and looks at you expectantly. Probably for payment.
Floyd blushes and hands over a Leathery Wing.
Mareena smiles and holds her hands out to her crystal ball. The lights dim inexplicably as she stares. "Yes, I see. Naturally. But, hm... Her? Let us see..." She takes a deck of cards from beside the ball and flips a card with a group of five hearts on it. "Not quite, it seems... Yes, it's all becoming clear. The only one who would currently respond to such advances is our adorably ditsy animal-lover, Katie."
"I see.... well then I'll....take a standard reading please and if that works out I'll put some more thought into a Heart Reading in the future." Give 2 Soft Plastic and a Metal Plate.
"Very well, then..." Mareena produces a small candle in a jar from under the table. "Place a small bit of hair in the jar, then burn this at your bedside tonight while you're getting ready for sleep. Tomorrow you will find yourself focused and quick to learn."
Floyd nods "Weird but, cool...thanks!"
"Weird, yes, but effective. You will come to believe. In time."
"Is that a premonition or a sales pitch?"
"Both."
"Interesting. Well it was nice talking to you again but, I should probably get out of your hair and let you get back to business huh?"
"Have a nice evening, Floyd! Oh, and if you do decide to take the bus, don't sit in the second open seat."
"You two..... the uhh nice night thing not the bus thing... obviously....see you later!"

Raine pays for the ice cream then brings you over to an empty seat. "I like fruit-flavored ice creams. Fruit's so good. And ice cream's great. So the two together..." Raine smiles. "What do you think, Sam? Can you think of anything like that? Two good things even better together?"

Raine doesn't respond, waiting patiently for Sam to look up. When she does, Raine pokes her in the cheek with a bit of ice cream on her finger and laughs. "If I didn't know better I'd say you're scared of me, Sam. But I don't have the faintest idea why that would be!" Raine picks up a napkin and hops out of her seat. "Here, let me get that for you." She holds the napkin out towards Sam's cheek, the quickly leans in and gives her a peck on the cheek before wiping it. Raine smiles, turns around dramatically, and starts walking out of the store while innocently gnawing on her ice cream cone like nothing happened.

Karl decides he wants pizza. He then proceeds to stand there and do nothing besides longing for its cheesy embrace within full sight of a pizza restaurant for some reason.

You try to kiss Raine, who proceeds to freeze up in your hug. "B-but... I... you... I'm not... You deserve... I can't... Um..." Raine turns solid red and steps back. "I-I... um... I need to... to th-think... about some things... I'm not... I, um... I'm not... as good as you think I am, so... you should... find someone better..."

SamPlease let me down gently Crow senpai. Sam is taken aback by what Raine says and she loosens her from her grip. "Huh where's that coming from Raine?" Sam asks highly confused. "I mean you did save my life over the week end,". "I was having a really bad panic attack when we were hanging out with your sister and Tia,". "But it was your quick thinking that saved my life when things could have been bad," Sam says to Raine. "When I opened up about my past and told you my story,". "You didn't run away or treat me like some type of loon,". "You stuck around me and never pushed me away," Sam says to Raine. "In fact Raine your the reason why I don't feel like I am cursed or a mistake,". "When I saw you in danger I thought to myself there I go again placing someone I care for in harms away again," Sam says. "So I am just curious why you think I deserve better?". "Raine from the way you treated me to the way your around me,". "I don't think there's anything you can tell me that would cause me to run away screaming in terror," Sam says sincerely to Raine. "The only thing I can think of is that Raine isn't gay,". "That's the only thing I can think of right now,". "She doesn't know how to tell me she's straight and doesn't think of it that way,". "Let's just see what her response is," Sam thinks to herself.
