I'm sorry, but you should find someone, anyone else... Someone decent. Please, it'll be a lot better for you." Raine looks like she's about to cry as she runs away.
You feel like there was something Raine wanted to say, like there was something she was holding back... You get the feeling that something's wrong, like Raine's trying to keep you at a distance and hide. You should probably investigate why. But you do feel a bit emboldened after that display, and the movie.

Sam just looks highly confused at what the heck just happen. She is feeling a bit dizzy and just needs a moment to sit and gather her thoughts. Sam also makes sure she to remember what her slippers look like.
"Well that was weird,". "I don't think her not being gay is the issue,". "But what exactly could lead her to do a complete 180 on herself," Sam thinks to herself.
"Like what could she have possibly done to why she feels horrible,". "I literally told her I put my former best friend in the hospital,". "That my dad and mom barely look at me or say anything to me anymore,". "My dad still blames me for everything that happened and I can see the look of shame and disgust in his eyes," Sam thinks.
"Hell she was the one that saved me when I fainted because of Tia,". "Great another person I have to talk to,". "Sigh why can't I just be normal for once,"Sam thinks.
Sam let's out an audible sigh as she makes her way to the slipper store. She tries her best to remember what Raine's slipper looks like.
"I guess these are best let's see if I am this foot size,". "Raine's feet are a little bigger,". "Well these will have to do,". "They seem to be close to her old slippers and her size of shoes," Sam thinks to herself.
Sam then just wanders out of the mall and waits for the bus. When she finally gets a moment to herself Sam just starts crying and weeping about everything that just happened.

You hang around the mall until you notice a few other people you recognize gathering and loitering around after the mall's getting ready to close for the day. Tia helps organize everyone waiting outside until the portal opens and more people start arriving.
Karl, Dewey, Tai, Sam, Leia, Floyd
At midnight, a portal opens at the mall's front entrance. Some of you remember going through here before, but for some of you it's the first time. A large group of students are gathered, but Tia is quick to shoo everyone inside.
Move to Soul Labyrinth.
Nora
Mattea gives you a ride to the mall later in the evening. You meet Alice by one of the emergency exits. Mattea and Alice stare at each other in tense silence until a portal opens up at the door right at midnight.

The large crowd, minus Tia, spills out into a store near the center of the mall, close to the large, central fountain on the bottom floor. The dancer is waiting outside the store, hands on her hips. Her outfit is nearly identical to her Otherworld armor, though her veil has been replaced with a simple half-mask that looks like it was bought from a cheap costume store. A small bandage barely pokes out on her forehead. "Come on, off you all go. I need to go deal with the security footage for you all. No need to thank me, but you can if you want!"
"Mm... Yes, that would be very helpful, thanks," Alice says.
"That's GREAT!" Natsumi cheers.
"Oh? What odd phrasing..." the dancer says.
"Look, I'm sure you're having fun with this but we all know it's you Mareena," Buttons says.
She shrugs. "I thought I told you that I'm just a particularly beauteous turtledove?"
"Fine, whatever. Let's go."
"Yeah... If there's anything else, we can talk about it tomorrow..." Somnis says.

You head to the mall with (The Great) Mareena. She heads straight to work, while you make a stop at the sporting goods store. You find they have a few kayaks for sale, and you're surprised some of the most basic ones are under $100. After you finish looking around, you head upstairs to find Mareena hard at work with regular customers today. At least you assume none of them are involved in the Otherworld, considering the things they come to ask about.
At the end of the day, Mareena tallies up her earnings for the day and nods. "Good, good. That should be enough to get through the month. Ah, it's nice to have normal customers sometimes. They may be less interesting, but they help make ends meet." She starts tending to her window-birds and cleaning around the shop. "We'll head for the beach as soon as I finish closing up."

Nora nods, almost absentmindedly watching Mareena close up shop. "You make fortune telling look almost... comfortable, hm? Comforting. I get this odd sense of comfort, watching you work."
She shrugs, a bit helplessly. "Dunno how to describe it. Want some help closing up?"

"Comforting? That is the idea, yes, what they are paying for. Many people find a lot of comfort in fortune-telling." Mareena gives a cocky smile. "Let us see... Perhaps you could check under the bird cages and make sure it is clean? Sometimes seeds and loose feathers get stuck under there. By the way, what is your agenda, hm? With the Otherworld?"

Nora shrugs and checks under the bird cages. "Agenda? You make me sound so sinister. I simply wish to protect Alice, that's all. Save the world if I can, otherwise make the most of my final days. Maybe write a book later that no one believes and become an occult legend long after my time. I have no agenda beyond that, truly."
She turns to Mareena and grins. "Though I am extremely curious as to your true identity. Who you are, and what your deal is... I find you irresistible. Hm, not quite in the same way as Alice, though she and I aren't quite official yet and if you wanted to go grab a room together I'd be be all for it... But that's beside the point."

Nora finds a few discarded feathers and a scrap of newspaper - nothing interesting, just bedding - under the cage.
"Ha. Sorry, but we have a very important job to do tonight. Fortunately, there will be plenty of cold water where we're going." Mareena finishes her bookkeeping and snaps it shut. She hops up on the table, sitting in her usual smirking position. "My true identity, hm? I told you. I am The Great Mareena. Neither more nor less. But you wish to know more, hm? Let's see... Would you believe I was born and raised in the Otherworld?"

You and Natsumi head to the mall where you find Jimmy already waiting at the movies. He snaps a picture of you as you get closer. "Hey," he says. "So... I didn't know Natsu would be coming..." he says.
"Natsumi," Natsumi corrects him.
"Oh. Huh. That's an anagram of tsunami, huh," Jimmy says.
"Huh? Oh... Well, yeah. I guess?" she says.
"So... you wanted to go see that kid's movie, huh? That's fine with me."

"Natsumi. Anyway, that movie's fine with me. Could be fun, I guess..."
It's not. The movie is terrible. Not even in an all kids movies being bad way, it's awful. One of the worst things you've ever seen. Managing to sit through the awful experience takes a lot of patience.

When you leave Jimmy frowns. "Well... that was... not good."
"...Yeah..." Natsumi agrees.

You head to the mall to examine the kayaks again. On the way, you notice Jimmy, Natsumi, and Leia all gathered outside the movie theater. A white-haired underclassman you vaguely recognize is talking to that transfer with the bandages and such in the bookstore. And Mareena, of course, is up in her store. Tia... is dressed like a cheerleader and passing out flyers near the fountain. You notice they seem to be for Mareena's Fortune Hut and you're suddenly a bit more hesitant about the job offer.
