Bandage jumps at the sound of a large thunderclap nearby. "Aw crap. I got a good memory, so just tell me it and I'll save it later."
You give him your number, and Bandages looks thoughtful for a moment. "I feel like I've heard this number before," he mutters quietly. He snaps out of it and looks up again. "Thanks. I should go before the sky starts falling. Until next time!"
"Later, Linus." Lance waves as he goes. "I should get going, too. Avalon's already late, but no point waiting out here and getting soaked. She'll get here when she gets here, I guess."
Linus heads off quickly in the direction of the mall, while Lance hops up to head into the library.

"It's getting late," Alice says. "Surely you have things you wanted to do instead of spending all day in this tower? Things that you don't need that duster for." Alice thinks for a moment. "We could go ahead and confront Mareena tonight. Unless you think there's a reason to wait?"
Floyd
"Yeah I'm fine," Katie answers. "Why?"

"Did you have any other ideas for the evening?" Alice wiggles free and stretches out on the couch to stare at you. "Unless you're planning to attack, I say we make our move against Mareena. The sooner we do, the less time she has to prepare."
Tai
You head into the library. It's huge, multiple stories tall. All bright and gleaming, well-lit, plenty of comfortable chairs. Search computer stations set up at the entrance and librarians on call to assist people. Around the corners, you can see rows upon rows of well-stocked shelves. A huge staircase wraps up and down. Below, you spot a more traditionally decorated library with wood paneling on the walls. From what you can see above, it looks about the same.

Somnis stares at you. And stares. And stares. And inches closer. "Uh-huh, I see," she finally says. "Lisa really likes those kinda games. Are you trying to impress her, too?"

Tai will explore each floor of the library and make a note about which sections are where. He'll keep an eye out for the microfiche.

Alice sighs. "I... do feel a bit bad. Because I wasn't going to be nice about teasing you. And I'm not going to hold back next time I win, either. So I kinda sorta feel like I'm just slipping out of stuff, bu-u-u-u-u-ut wrangling a smart-ass, cocky bird sounds too fun to pass up. Let's go. Give me a minute to change, OK?" Alice gets up, then hesitates, comes back, and gives you a kiss before disappearing into her bedroom.
Move to Mall

You spend a few minutes making a simple mental map of the library. It's very well stocked with plenty of small group and private study rooms. The basement is designed to look more homey, and also has a set of stairs leading down that are blocked off with a locked door and card reader. "Rare Books Section - Access Restricted." The microfiche archives are up on the seventh floor.
Floyd
"Mongolian!" Katie answers immediately. A map entry pings on your phone a second later. "See you in an hour?"
When you get to the cafe you find Katie in a different outfit than normal. She's wearing an uncharacteristically fashionable outfit of a blouse and shawl, dark skirt, and wedge sandals that make her just a little bit taller than you're used to. She waves at you with an umbrella in one hand as you approach.

"What? No, Laura's the Wrestling club leader. She's fine. But Lisa's the SUPER-CUTE head of the Computer club. She's so cute." Somnis stops to think. "What was that about vine-bears again?"

Aron groans. "That again. Right. Look, I'm not one to keep digging when pressed on a lie, I know where that leads. You might find this hard to believe, though. Even think I'm crazy." He stops to think carefully. "...Or maybe not, but I know I saw some kids from our school fighting these magic Pokemon-looking bears over at the park. I dunno if it was some sort of... event, but..."

"The rare books? Oh, yes. Those are mostly one-of-a-kind works, old historical documents, interviews, things like that. Access is restricted to the public because handling them is delicate and you have to take special precautions to not damage them. We have staff working on transcribing the work for preservation. Access can be granted with special permissions from a guarantor such as a university..."

"Oh... Yes. An event," Somnis says, suddenly speaking a bit robotically. "Just an event. For an AR thingy. The type of thing Lisa likes. Yep. You shouldn't think about it any more than that. But, um, if you see any other event you should probably run. Really fast. So you don't, uh, get in the way?"
