"Sandcastles..." Katie says quietly. "I'm not really dressed for sandcastles..." Katie is quiet for a minute, then shrugs. "Oh, well. Don't care. Sure! Let's make some sandcastles."
You spend the rest of the day making sandcastles with Katie.

"I need to go home and clean up..." Katie says, knocking sand out from her skirt. "Bye Floyd! See you at school tomorrow."
With Katie gone and the sun setting, the rainy beach suddenly feels a lot colder.

You get to the beach and Natsumi hops off the bus in her swimsuit. She spreads her arms and looks out at the water, then turns to you. "It's kinda cold. Wanna go swimming anyway? We can wash and dry off and go eat somewhere after to warm up."

You go out to the beach and take Natsumi's hand. She doesn't hesitate to head further out into the ocean, but very quickly starts to lag behind. The water is unpleasantly cold, but she refuses to be the one to suggest heading back. "N-n-n-no... p-p-problem... at... at all...!" she assures you, before kicking a splash your way. It hits like a wall of ice.

You kick back at Natsumi. She shrieks in surprise, but turns and fights back immediately. You continue to counter-attack. The fight escalates and escalates until someone decides to tackle the other and you both end up flailing in the freezing water. After a few seconds you manage to disentangle and scramble back upright.
Natsumi shakes herself violently. "Y-y... f... th... O-OK, I think we... s-swam enough...!"

You sit with Natsumi, staring out at the ocean and shivering as the sun sets behind you. "Really pretty..." Natsumi mutters quietly. She's silent for a few minutes. "Hey... I've been thinking more about what I wanna do once we can stop worrying about the Otherworld and we're done with school and stuff... And I still don't really know... what I want. Um. I mean... I kinda think I know what people want for me, but I don't know what I want for myself...? Is that weird?"
