Natsumi's silent for a bit before shrugging. "I dunno. Sometimes I think I just do art because of Kas- Mom. I like it. I think. But maybe I'd like other things more if... things hadn't... I mean, if Mom were still..." She trails off. "I dunno. Some jobs are about money. But some are about saving lives. And art... I like it, but I dunno if it's what I want for me." You arrive at the beach and Alice is quick to hop down the stairs to the beach. As she said, it's cooler here than in other parts of the city. Alice shudders and moves closer. "So... Th-this is the beach. Much nicer now than last time we were here..." You look around and don't spot anyone else out on the shore. It seems most people have more sense. "So... I guess I p-promised to tell you about that latest fight with Mattea sometime, huh..." Alice slows down for a moment. "Well, I just told her her stupid recklessness was going to get someone killed. I mean, she said she wanted to hurt me and she pulled it off. Accident aside, she's done nothing as president, always whines to me to help her with the budgeting..."

Nora wraps her arm around Alice's waist and pulls her even closer, against her side. "You said yourself that you two would find a way to work things out eventually, yes? In the meantime, try not to let it bother you, hm? There are other things you can focus on, and dwelling on past pain or worst case scenarios isn't good for your health, love."

Nora stops, pulling Alice to a stop with her. "Let's sit and watch the water for a bit, hm? I'll keep you warm."

Alice sighs. "...OK." You find a bench a short distance away and take a seat, watching the ocean lapping at the shore in the cool breeze. Alice snuggles closer. "...We still need to go out and check the ocean for portals, huh. But..." Alice sighs. "I guess I should just let someone else do it."

Nor do you need to. But if you want to go, you can. Personally, I'd enjoy a trip with just the two of us, out on the water... And if you don't think you're physically up for it yet, there are still other places we can check first."

Nora smiles. "Of course, dear. But what that looks like can vary. Being a good person comes down to doing what you can to be good, I think. Now, little old me, I'll never be a Student Council President or the like. But I do so enjoy helping people with my fortune telling. Before I started working at Mareena's, I thought Fortune Tellers who worked for money to be cheap snake oil salesmen, but she taught me mighty different mighty quickly. And then there's my birthright. I used to hate my lack of choice in my life. My lack of a proper childhood. I was a tad... rebellious. My father sent me all the way out here cause I got myself kicked out of school for trashing the dean's car."
She giggles. "Still think he deserved it. Anyway... Now I realize my life's blessed. I have stability both in my present and my future. Many folk don't have that. So being good for me means... Using that to help people. Being good can mean other things for you too, you know? Just gotta find what they are."
She lightly kisses Alice's forehead.

You make your way to the beach where you wait for the others to arrive. It'll be a short trip up the river from here. Buttons heads into a small restaurant, which you immediately recognize as the place with the fresh fish the two of you went a few days ago.
"We should be safe here until the others show up. The monsters don't seem too interested in trying to force their way into buildings. I hope. So... You ready for this?"

The others arrive at a small seafood restaurant on the docks. Kiran takes a step back and squints through the fog. "This is... Yeah. Good choice."
Somnis nods. "Yep. I'm guessing she's hiding near the accident...?"
Freya grimaces, visible under her sunglasses. "Oh... Yeah..."
Raine and the Featherhat remain quiet, as do Gamma, Axe, and Grant.
A translucent figure goes floating by, looking like a ghost.
"Great. Bunbun made that, I'm sure of it. It looks too much like my weapons. We need to get into groups and get ready to fight," Buttons says. He points to Leia, Freya, and Kiran. "The three of us should go for Bunbun directly, we've got the best chance of getting through to her."
"Fine," Raine says. "But what about the rest of us?"
"Split up, move in and draw the ghosts and whatever else away, obviously," Gamma says. "Who's in my group?" They look between the others for volunteers.
