"Right... Especially make sure Other has your numbers," Alice agrees.
You all spend some time trading numbers - the veiled dancer doesn't join in - before you hear the sound of loud, unhuman bellowing in the distance, followed by the loud sound of something heavy clacking against the hard floor.
"Annnnnd that's our cue to leave!" Somnis says. "Quickly."
"Um, yep! That's Asterius. You should all go," Tia says. "He's really moody. All the time."
"This way, please!" the dancer calls out, hopping off towards a shop near the fountain. Inside, you find a glowing portal.

Tai, Leia
You head to the mall later that evening after the rain finally ends. When midnight rolls around, you slip through the front door.
Inside, you find the mall seems to be in its usual condition. Dimly lit, maze-like. Tall walls lined with stores. In the distance you see a group of mannequins moving slightly, until they notice you. They go still.
Buttons looks around. "Is it a bit darker than last time?"
"I don't think so?" Natsumi says. "So, what are we hunting?"

Leia looks at the mannequins with disgust.
"Ew... Mannequins?!
I came here thinking this was the least scary place...
Yeah... Let's turn them into rubble..."

"Mannequins? A fine target to begin the night's hunt..." Buttons draws his cloak around himself before he uses his key, creating a not-terribly-convincing transformation.
"Um, OK! It works for me!" Natsumi says. "Just watch out for Asterios and this should be easy!"
You all move to engage the group of mannequins. As you draw closer, the three figures turn on you, moving aggressively and menacingly despite their blank faces. While you're focused on them, a 4th drops from a balcony and lands behind you.

Leia will equip the Sticky Bat (which she apparently never did lmao) her hands shaking slightly from being scared of the mannequins.
Her unexplained disgust for those creatures seems to overpower her fear however, as she starts pummeling at the leftmost mannequin.
Light Aura Spread: Leia's weapon is filled with a light aura. She then attacks with her weapon, causing light damage. The light aura spreads on impact. The bigger the enemy is, the more damage it takes. [Zack 3]

HUNTING TEAM
VS
PRIDEFUL CHARLATANS
The mannequins begin moving in. Tai pushes back, trying to cut off the new arrival by stabbing it with his tail. The tail glances off of the plating and the mannequin slashes back with its claw. Tai shrugs off the hit without much trouble.
Buttons waves his lantern and a wind begins to blow over the field. The mannequins shudder.
Natsumi makes a few gestures with her hand. "Um, I think it's... like this? Yeah! Go, Nekomata!" Natsumi's cat turns bright red with a weird symbol on its head. "Burn 'em up!" The cat leaps up and spews a fireball from its mouth at the center mannequin.
Leia rushes forward and bashes the left with her bat. It quakes from the impact, then slashes her. It doesn't do much. Then another mannequin comes in, spiraling. Its slashes seem to tear through Leia's armor and leave some minor damage as it passes through to strike Natsumi and Buttons as well. Buttons seems mildly injured, but Natsumi shrugs it off. The last mannequin leaps into the air, over the rest of you, to slash Tai in the back. Another glancing blow.

Leia seems to take a few steps back, the fear now having become more upfront than the disgust.
UFO on Tai to makes his attacks AOE.
Alien Abduction: A UFO comes from the sky and abducts an ally. It transforms that ally's attack into an AOE on the next turn and the UFO will take the damage for the ally until it's destroyed. Leia can use it on herself. When an enemy attacks the UFO, it reveals a weakness and a resistance. [Base]

Tai, Leia
Buttons pauses swinging his lantern and blowing wind. He opens a latch and releases one of the trapped spirits. It floats to Leia and heals her slightly.
Tai casts a gust of wind on Buttons, who seems to vibrate slightly. And then a UFO flies over and snatches him into the sky.
Natsumi holds out her palm and fires a stream of magic at the same mannequin that her cat fires another fireball at. The center mannequin melts into a puddle of plastic.
One of them leaps at Natsumi and slashes at her. She slips out of the way. Another mannequin begins spinning, tearing through Buttons and Leia while Natsumi manages to slip past this one, as well. Leia's key starts to make a soft hum as the last mannequin charges, spinning to slash Buttons and Natsumi's cat. Buttons' key lets out a soft whine, as well. The mannequin continues, jumping to slice the UFO. The UFO begins smoking and shaking (but you already have this thing's elemental stuff in the bestiary).

Leia will put Buttons behind herself and use Smiling Shrine on herself.
Smiling Shrine: Summons a giant grinning sentient shrine in front of an ally, which will block every attacks for that ally. Stays active until it got hit 3 times. Launches debris towards the attacker everytime it's attacked, which causes heavy dark damage. [Natsumi 7]

Tai slips back and summons a series of floating mines from his tail. Leia moves forward and drops a shrine in front of herself. One of the mannequins runs up and slashes it, being rewarded with a chunk that flies off and breaks its arm.
Buttons goes back to waving his lantern, releasing waves and waves of wind. The first knocks over one of the mannequins. The next wave knocks over two more. The last mannequin reaches out and slices Natsumi, who responds by firing a stream of small spirits at it at point-blank range. Her cat leaps up and fires a bolt of fire at it, bringing it down.
Received Soft Plastic x4!
"We did it!" Natsumi cheers. "And I feel great. I love it here!"
Leia does not feel great. Leia feels exhausted and sluggish, like her key is struggling to function properly. She feels even worse after that last battle.
"Good warm-up," Buttons says. "So, what? Want to see if we can find some more or look for something else? I think there were some weird money-looking things around."
