You head to the large pets section.
Kitty
You follow the voice to find 'Inari.' One guess where it leads.

You find several people locked in pet cages.
Kitty
They've basically just shuffled from your first foray.
Awkward
There's a guy with white hair and fox ears and a floofy tail in one cage. A crossbow and a sack is hanging nearby. Next to him is another white fox, this one an older woman. Another cage has a blue-haired woman with cat ears and a tail. A staff is propped outside. Then comes a blond-haired cat-guy with a cloak and some daggers hanging nearby.
Also Katie is in a cage for some reason.
All the cages look relatively well-furnished, at least? With a comfy bed, food bowl, water bottle, plenty of wood shavings...
A 10ft long snake-woman is slithering around in an apron, singing quietly to herself and passing out treats. In the form of small honey cakes.
Kitty
'Inari' looks at you. "That isn't my name. But if it gets me out of this cage, call me whatever you want." He transforms into a small, white fox. Very floofy-poofy and adorable. "But they didn't give me a key for any 'break room.'"

"How should I know!?" not-Inari demands. "I don't even know what you're talking about. And why would they give me or any of us 'pets' a key?"
Katie has her face pressed up against the glass, staring longingly at the cuddle-able fox just out of her reach.
You mention that you're going to adopt him. "Great!" the snake-lady says. "This talkative little one's got kind of a bad reputation, so we were worried about finding a good home for him. Hold on, there's just a few forms for you to fill out and you'll be good to go."
Awkward asks her about adopting everyone. She gives him an apologetic tongue-flick. "I'm sorry, but we have a very strict limit of one pet per customer. Especially after several pets escaped recently. I wasn't around for that, so I don't know the details, but apparently a fox and a cat managed to escape, and several others got out of their cages. It was a disaster until the regional manager came in to help."
She digs around in her apron and produces a pen and some forms for Kitty.
"I'll be back in a moment." She slithers towards the registers. "Hey, Somnis! Someone's actually adopting that really foul-mouthed fox!"

"Only one, huh." Well, let's take what we can. Track down snake lady again. "Hey, we're about ready. We're actually two customers looking to adopt, so I want that one..." Point at Katie. "...and my friend wants, uh, that one." Point at blue-hair cat lady.

Awkward tosses one at Tab. "Fill it out." Awkward creates a pen, filling out a form for Katie.
"This is a roundabout way to obtain more allies, but so be it... B-But what am I even supposed to put for reason?" Tab sighs and pulls out his own pen, filling out the form for the blue cat.

The snake-lady comes back a few minutes later and looks at your applications. "Oh, that's a wonderful reason, Mr. Important." She looks at the other applications, then at the blue cat, then at Tab. She narrows her eyes suspiciously.
This glare... it feels like a teacher's glare.
"I see... Well. All that's left is your identification. May I see your orbs, please? Safety measure, you understand. To make sure no one comes back in a disguise or sends a bunch of allies to get another pet or something." She looks confused at her own words. "...Orb? Allies...?"

Take it out of my pocket like a normal ass object and place it in her hand. I'm self conscious about creepy orbs that are weirdly absorbed.

Awkward flicks Tab on the head by surprise. "Actually, I think my friend's suddenly reconsidered his decision due to his commitment issues. He says he doesn't want his cat anymore, so just incinerate his application, if you could. I'll still be taking my own pet." Pull out the orb and just hand it to her real quick.

You pretend you aren't schlorping your orb out of your body and fake-pull it from your pocket to offer it to Sarahsala.

The snake-lady doesn't take your orbs. She just pulls out a checklist with 6 colors printed on it, plus another hastily written in on the bottom. She puts a check next to your colors. "Alright, you're good to go!" She unlocks their cages.
'Inari' quickly sproinks out of his cage as a cute little fox.
Katie leaps out of her cage and scoops him up for a hug. "So-o-o-o cute! I've wanted to do this the whole time I was stuck in there! Oh, it was worth... it... Huh? Why are you... prickly instead... of... cuddly...?"
