Paprika: "I can't swim. I hate water. First you destroy my home, now you want to bring me in the middle of the ocean? What's next?"
Malefio: "What if we let this Deep One... Wait. I forgot to introduce myself again didn't I? My name is Malefio. This is Paprika. What is yours?
Also... Swimming is your thing right? Can we ask you to swim to that ship and bring it here if it's still functional?"

Malefio will wander on the rocky beach trying to see if he can see another location in the horizon. If not, he'll change idea and go to the sandy beach.

You head to the rocky beach.
From here you can see the sea of magma. There are a pair of islands. One is empty except for a portal. The other is up on a plateau with what looks like a large nest. You can't see what's in it from down here.
There are several people on the rocky beach. The weaker water mage and fish-lady both retreated over here. They're quietly talking to each other. You can't see the footprints in the sand anymore (since there isn't any sand), but you can guess Nyl's probably poking around here somewhere. There's also a trio of people you don't recognize.
One looks like a street magician with a fancy hat and cape.
One is a blonde woman in a white-and-gold gown with a large axe and staff. She's arguing with the last of the group, though fortunately they haven't come to blows.
The last is a woman who looks like two women stitched together down the middle. One half is blonde, pretty, covered in a heavy boot, glove, and a cloak worn to the side. The other half is covered as little as possible. Grey, scaly skin, black hair, and blue eyes that glow like fire. A strange magic sigil is half-visible on her chest... and a bat-like wing is poking out of her back. Her bare hand and foot on that side end in razor-sharp, demonic claws.
...No sign of a forest.

Malefio saw a portal. He doesn't care about anything else right now.
Malefio: "So... Paprika... You can swim in lava right?"
Paprika: "Don't even think about using me as your ride."
Malefio: "Do you want your home back or not?"
Paprika: "I hate you..."
Paprika will have Lagos cross first, then will come back to make Malefio cross

You send Papi and Lagos over to the island with the portal. As you get closer, she can see that the edge of the island conceals a shallow valley.
When Lagos steps off, he calls for Paprika's attention. "There's a... rather strange-looking birdfolk trapped in a giant spiderweb," he says. "Should I try to help her, or wait for you to fetch your master?"

Paprika raises her head to look at Lagos. If she has eyebrows, she raises them.
"Can't I just spit lava on the web to burn it off and free her?"
(If he doesn't object, you can save posts and have Paprika spit lava on the web.)

While waiting, Malefio just tries to politely nod at the water mage and fish lady, just so they know he acknowledged them after helping them earlier.
