Paprika spits some lava.
Lagos doesn't seem to be able to see you from his angle, but he doesn't call down again.
More pressingly, you hear someone mutter something short and annoyed when the lava hits, then you see one of the webs on the ground twitch. Followed by another whispered curse. The web twitches more, then a boot appears out of thin air. It's very clearly one of Nyl's. You hear a knife slide out of its sheath and the threads near the boot start snapping one at a time.
You manage to make it to the wall without incident.

Run up, at least the spider will go after Nyl, which probably can just disappear.

You start climbing back up. Paprika does, too. You manage to make it back to the top with no sign of the spider waking up.
From the top, you can still see the boot stuck in the webbing at the bottom of the hole, with an invisible presumably-Nyl trying to get it out. But you can't see the spider itself.
"Umm so did you get my bag and stones?" the bird asks.
Lagos has made some decent progress cutting her out, but it will still take quite a lot more work to free her. Unless her little stone trick works.

"Oh they're completely safe to touch they won't do anything unless you're a secret laguz," the bird says. "But you don't have any wings so it's probably fine ummm I don't really know anything about that portal thing. I can tell you no one's been through it since I've been here, though."
You hear a loud cracking sound from below, followed by a sound that a betting man would attribute to a giant spider waking up.

Throw the stone to the bird girl, then gently put her bag on the ground so she can pick it up when she gets off the web. Malefio looks at Lagos and the bird
Malefio: "I don't know if you two want to follow me, but I need to know what's the deal with that portal and there's a big spider incoming. I won't wait for an answer."
Malefio jumps into the portal. Paprika seems angry.
Paprika: "I need to follow him..."
Paprika uses her limited flight to go through the portal.
