Mallard
You step through the portal and find yourself in a small patch of trees. The archway behind you is showing a picture of space and a big tree.
You immediately notice a woman chopping trees. She's got black hair, grey eyes. A thin belt with a broken dagger. A big-ass broadsword. Filly, purple blouse, knee-high boots, black skirt. You'd guess she's in her late 20's.
"Just gotta chop the trees, right? Ugh, how many logs do we need?" She takes a step back and wipes her brow.
Ahead of you is a narrow path through thick, dead trees. It splits to the left and right.
There's also a small envelope lying on the ground near the portal. It's addressed to Mallard.

Mallard notices the weird letter and finds that oddly specific.
Mallard opens the letter and opens it.
Morgan
Morgan goes over to the lady and asks if she could use some help chopping the woods.

You open the letter. "Find the key in the Spider's Nest." This means nothing to you. "She is with the one with the blue box." This also means nothing to you.
Morgan
You walk towards the woman and she whirls around with her broadsword at the ready. "Oh... Oh, hello. You startled me. No, thank you. I'm fine. Just a little tired. Hey, if you're heading deeper into the forest, be careful. Monsters are about."
Morgan feels a presence and looks over her shoulder. A pink-and-purple cat with a flowery fur pattern is floating in midair beside her.

Mallard hmm interesting will definitely make note of that. Hmm I feel like I am forgetting something back there. Kinda of don't want to leave Morgan by herself.
Flips through Orb..... Oh this guy can be useful.
Mallard summons Chill King Boo and instructs him to follow Morgan.
Mallard yells something about going back to the bunker and heads back to Charlie Complex.
Morgan
(Morgan will go ahead back into her normal form if she hasn't already.)
Chill King Boo floats towards Morgan then looks towards the kat unsure what type of illusion magic he is using.
Oh hello Mr. Boo I guess Mallard is going somewhere if your here to help.
Hello there Mr. Kitty who are you and more importantly what is this place.

"That's Tulip, my note beast. He can't talk," the woman explains. "This is the Yggdrasil labyrinth. We're on the 2nd stratum, the Miasma Forest... or at least that's what that Verian guy said."

Oh this little fellow over here is King Boo. Don't worry he's a good ghost and he belongs to my friend.....
(Looks around and sees that Mallard isn't around. Chill King tells her that Mallard left and he's here to help.)
Welp looks like its just me and him. Umm would you mind if I hang around a bit.
I have this key that lets me do all sorts of things and I am good at fighting and scouting and other things.

"The forest is dangerous," the woman says. "I don't recommend going out with such a small group. A few others will be coming to pick me up in a while. You can come with us then, if you want. But I need to finish chopping this stuff... for... some reason. Hm. They never did explain that."

I don't mind helping to chop down some trees.
Morgan uses clone and her and her clone will chop down some trees.
Chill King Boo keeps a look out for anything suspicious

You chop trees like a lumbersheep.
After getting a few logs, a group of three people enter the little area you're in.
One's a green-skinned lady in a dancer's outfit with a sword. Then a cleric-looking lady with a wolf tail and ears. And a cute little cat-guy with a bow and arrow and a giant hawk on his shoulder.

Hey guys I am kinda of new to the area. I met this nice lady here and her note beast Kitty.
Mind if me and Chilly (Chill King Boo) travel with you. This guys is really relaxed and chill dude. I can handle myself in a fight and this guy is a ghost king.

"Sure!" the barefoot dancer-plant-girl says. "We've got a few more people to pick up, then we're heading back to our temporary base."
"Don't wander off," the wolf-cleric says. "Stay close."
"Man, another one? How many people got lost out here...?" the cat mutters.
You start down the trail with the group. They head to the left.
An arrow flies past your head. A bunch of enemies leap out of the trees. Two skeletons with bows and a small tree-looking thing, except with freaky arms.

Oh is that all man I was expecting more of a challenge.
Morgan and Clone will both shot a skeleton archer A.
Chill King Boo will unleash dark lighting on the skeleton archer B

Morgan and her clone attack one of the skeletons. Shooting seem almost completely ineffective on the thing with no skin, organs, or blood. That's not how bullets work... Lightning seems a bit more effective on the other.
The woman with the broadsword just chops the other skeleton in half. The wolf-cleric transforms into a giant wolf and starts gnawing on the first skeleton. She wags her tail happily. The cat guy whistles and his hawk claws at the other tree. The dancer finishes it off with several swings of her sword.
"Easy, easy..." the cat says.
"Too easy!" plant-girl cheers.
You continue on to find a guy with white hair and a hoodies. He's swinging a pickaxe to mine from some rocks. "Ugh, this su-u-ucks!" he complains. "You guys are finally here? Good. I was starting to think monsters had eaten you. ...Who's the new girl?"
