"Oh, we will..." You make your way into the park. As expected of a late autumn Saturday night, there's a large crowd out tonight. Lines are already forming around many of the more popular rides, but it's not such a long wait for the tilt-a-whirl. Mattea spends the downtime flirting and making small talk about her day and school. The ride itself is over a lot faster than you expected. Mattea staggers a bit as you get off, tossing an arm over your shoulder to steady herself. "Oh, that was... fast. I... need a second. What next...? Perhaps we should investigate the haunted house? Research for the Occult club, you know."

Mattea shakes her head, hair flapping wildly. She takes a brush from her purse and fixes it while you walk to the haunted house. The line is a lot longer than expected, but you wait it out. You head inside to a dimly lit entranceway with a single pathway leading up a set of creaky stairs, fake cobwebs hanging around everywhere, and cool air blowing through vents hidden in the wall. Mattea takes you by the arm as soon as you go inside. "H-ha, this is... cold, huh?"

Tai lets out a small laugh and oulls her closer. "It's for atmosphere. No one expects a haunted house to be all warm and cozy. Well, maybe if it's hell themed or something. Plus the cold probably helps keep the animatronics from overheating or some shit."

"Animatronics, huh... M-maybe we could talk to, um, what's her name... Lisa. See if she could FUCK ME it's too cold to t-talk," Mattea stammers." R-robotics Club. Robots. Haunted house. Spooky."
You head through the haunted house. Halfway up the stairs, you hear a creaking noise, followed by a loud snap. "...Huh?" Mattea gasps, before letting out a sharp shriek. A moment later you realize the stairs are gone and you're falling. You land with a thud on what feels like a large trampoline in a dimly lit room, bouncing a few times before settling. Mattea quickly scrambles up, looking around wildly. "Wh-what the fuck!?"
The walls are made of stone, covered with chains and bloodstains. Cells line the wall, with flickering torches barely illuminating figures sealed away in a few of them. A wooden door on the far end of the room creaks open and a shrill laugh rings out from beyond.

"You want Lisa to fuck you? I'm hurt, truly. Well I wouldn't stop you if that's what you wanted. But anyways, yeah, we could ask her about the Haunted House."
Tai examines the room. He'll make his way to the wooden door, keeping Mattea close.

As you approach the wooden door you hear more laughing from behind it, mixed with screaming. Then the sound of a chainsaw revving. You peer through into a hallway made of bloodstained, grimy tiles. A gurney covered in a sheet is roughly corpse-sized. A dim sign on the far end of the room is labeled "SURGERY." A smaller sign lights up beneath it: "IN USE."
"Uh... Ha-ha... This is, um, pretty intense for a children's attraction..." Mattea looks back in the room you fell into. "This would be the... basement...? And..." A rumble from nearby is covered partially by screams ringing out from one of the cells. Mattea moves a bit closer and looks in. "Oh... They... are using pipes? Oh, I see... It's transmitting the sounds of people on other rides... Haaaa, that's a... cute trick."

"Like I said, atmosphere. Jumpscares are what most people think of first when they think about Haunted Houses or horror, but atmosphere can make all the difference."
He tightly clutches Mattea's hand. "Ready to get fucked up by some evil doctor?" And he'll lead them into the surgery room.

"Uh... I'd really rather not..." Mattea says, following at a distance.
You move into the next room, the door swinging open creakily as you push against it. Inside you see a stark white room, grey in the dim light. A series of tables are lined up in neat rows, each covered in bloody cloths. An exit sign glows faintly in the distance, pointing towards a solid metal door.
Mattea grunts as you step inside. "Ah, nope, don't like this."

Tai goes slowly, admiring the handiwork and looking over the cloths. He'll walk to the exit in no hurry.

Mattea sticks behind you for a bit, but as you take your time, you notice Mattea seems to be less interested in the decorations and more interested in the door. As you get approach it, you hear a loud thud and the door shakes. Mattea quickly jumps back from the door. "Wh-what... What was that?" She leans forward and stares at it intently. "...Tai? You... know it's only proper to open a door for a lady, don't you?"

"Since when have I been a gentlemen?" He raises an eyebrows. Regardless, he still goes ahead and enters before her and holds the door open.

As you open the door, you look out to see a long, dark, empty hallway lined with stone, fading into the darkness. Mattea glances over your shoulder and takes a few steps inside. "This is... a bit... much bigger than I thought it would be..." she mutters.
You hear a sudden, sharp snap behind you, followed by the sound of a motor whirring to life. One of the sheets rises up, a chainsaw poking out from underneath as a blood-covered doctor stands up from one of the tables.
"Nope." Mattea takes a few steps backwards down the hallway. "Nope, nope, nope..."

Tai smirks. He takes Mattea by the arm and rushes her down the hallway away from the chainsaw doctor. "Remember that this was your idea! And honestly I'm seeing a whole different side of you!"

"Shutupshutupshutup!" Mattea growls as she runs. She slows as the hallway seems end with a brick wall. "Oh, what now she asks?" In the gloom you can just barely make out a pit right in front of the wall. Mattea, on the other hand, doesn't notice until the last second. She tries to skid to a half and almost succeeds, teetering with just her heels on the ledge and flailing her arms before she slips and disappears into the void with a loud scream. You hear laughing and a chainsaw revving behind you as the doctor runs after you.
