Klaus whistles to the enemy Bael, catching its attention before kicking a tree over into it. "Heheh..." The Bael just barely survives the attack with its focus turned entirely on Klaus.
Playthings activates! Bael receives 5 damage
Kaguya pulls Zyl back, away from the Bael. "Hey, what the-!?"
"Shh! You need to step back and be healed." She holds her staff to Zyl's wounds, healing them in a gentle light.
Zyl recovers 15 health
Klaus then leaps at his injured target, taking the easy kill.
Bael receives 12 damage
Bael was defeated!
Klaus reaches level 3! Klaus' Health, Strength, Speed, Defense, and Resistance increase by 1!
"Hey, did you see that? I totally crushed them!"
The Elder Bael moves toward Spirin once again, slashing at him with its claws. He quickly blocks with his wings, receiving lessened damage before landing a quick slash with his blade.
Spirin receives 3 damage
Elder Bael receives 2 damage

Kaguya waves her staff over Spirin, healing him fully. "Your wings are pretty. Keep them safe."
Spirin recovers 15 health
Kaguya reaches level 3! Kaguya's Speed increases by 1!
"...How disappointing."
Klaus and Zyl move to box in the enemy Elder Bael, creating a battlefield for Spirin to face off with it in. "Go get 'em, bro!" Klaus cheers on his brother from the side.
Spirin nods and darts forward, stabbing the Elder Bael. It retaliates with a claw slash, quickly following up with another one shortly after. Spirin takes the hits, but manages to position himself closer to the Bael at the same time. He stabs the Bael in the eye, driving his sword through its head and finishing the enemy once and for all.
Elder Bael receives 2 damage
Spirin receives 3 damage
Spirin receives 3 damage
Elder Bael receives 2 damage
Elder Bael was defeated!
Spirin reaches level 2! Spirin's Health, Strength, Skill, Speed, Luck, Defense, and Resistance increase by 1!

"That looks like the last of them." Spirin lets out a sigh of relief as he sheathes his blade. "What was that all about?"
Zyl is taken aback by Spirin's question. "Hey, is that anyway to greet your friend!? We haven't seen each other since the last festival! Besides, the spiders aren't my fault!"
Kaguya nods. "They just sort of appeared. Probably related to the increase in monster sightings recently."
A concerned look comes across Spirin's face. "Do you think it's related to the sealed demon?"
Klaus shakes his head. "I sure hope not. It would really suck if that thing got loose again."
Kaguya bops Klaus on the head with her staff. "Suck? It would mean the end of the world! It took almost all of Lady Arc and Lord Alexander's power to keep that thing locked away."
Zyl gives Kaguya a confused look. "I thought the demon was sealed by a weird dragon that disappeared."
"That's just a legend! Do you really believe a Manakete left Drakus before the demon was released?"
Spirin laughs. "You two never change, do you?" He then looks over to the forts behind him. "We can rest there for the night. We should reach Leocor in the morning fully rested."
"Hmm...A nap might not be a bad idea." Klaus stretches, letting out a big yawn.
"Cute." Kaguya pats him on the head.

Heading over to the fort, the group suddenly stops. Someone's already in here!
Spirin quickly flies over to the two knocked out people on the ground. One is a female bird laguz with pure white wings and silver hair. She's wearing what appears to be a simple, white tunic with a gold star pattern on it. It's matched with leggings and brown leather boots. She has an axe sitting beside her. The other is a male beorc. He looks pretty strong. His black hair is spiky and he wears a basic set of brown leather armor complete with leather gloves and boots. The two of them start to come to, opening their eyes slowly.
"Are you alright?" Spirin stands over the laguz.
She looks at him with sleepy looking eyes. "Just five more minutes mama..." She then snaps awake as she looks at Spirin in the eyes. "Who are you?" She quickly hops up to her feet as Spirin jumps back.
"My name is Spirin. I'm a Laguz royal. Most Laguz know about me. Who are you?"
She looks around at the fort, taking in her surroundings. "My name is...Sophie. But I can't remember much more than that for some reason..."
Spirin gives her a worried look. "You have amnesia?" His attention turns to the man as he gets up slowly, rubbing his head. "And who are you?"
"Huh?" He looks back at Spirin. "Uh...My name's Zack. But where are we? I must have hit my head or something..."
"This is Sidhe. Are you not from around here?"
Sophie and Zack exchange a look with each other. Sophie then looks back at Spirin. "I guess not...? Were we both knocked out here?"
Spirin's concern deepens. "Um...yes. Do you not know each other?"
Zack shakes his head. "No, I don't think I remember seeing her around before."
Sophie looks at Zack and scratches her head. "Yeah...sorry, I don't think we've met before. But I guess you look kind of familiar...?"
Spirin sighs. "Well this is certainly going somewhere."
Sophie takes a moment to collect her thoughts. "So...Since you seem to know where we are and what's going on...Can we just travel with you for a bit?"
Spirin thinks for a second. "Hmm...I suppose so. I don't see any harm in it. At the very least, it couldn't be a bad idea for us to bring you to Leocor and see if being in the city jogs your memory a bit."
Sophie smiles. "Thanks! Don't worry, I can pull my weight too, so you won't have to be concerned with dealing with me!"
Zack nods. "Yeah, I'll help out too, if I can. It would only be right to repay you for helping us out like this."

Returning from buying a couple vulneraries from some wandering merchants, Spirin goes over his gold count, making sure they have enough funds for the festival tomorrow. Kaguya flies in over to his side, looking for something to do. "Hey, Spirin. What are you doing?"
"Well, I'm making sure our gold stores are going to last us until we reach Leocor. Not to mention making sure we have enough for the festival. Klaus and I didn't bring the entire royal vault with us, so we need to make what we brought last."
"That sounds...boring."
"Well what are you doing?"
"I just fought off a hydra that was destroying a small oasis village."
"Wh-Really!?"
"No." Kaguya bops Spirin on the head with her staff. "You're too gullible, Spirin. As a royal, you should learn to detect lies better."
"I mean...I just expected you to be honest with me, I guess."
"Yeah, I never tell lies."
"Exactly! You're always so honest."
"I was lying."
"Um...right. Maybe I do need to learn how to detect lies better. Do you think you could teach me?"
"No, I can't."
"Wait, why?"
"I was lying. I really have my work cut out for me, don't I...?"
"Um...No? Wait, yes? I-I'm confused..."
