We were in the forest, hunting... magical creatures. I had to get out of there, but I'm pretty sure he's fine. He can teleport places he's already been if things get tough. Know where he is now?

"I'm sure he's fine, then," the witch says to Tilly. "You really should set a meeting place. Where do you think he would he go if you were separated?"

As you descend the stairs, you gradually start to hear thudding and shouting in the distance. As you reach the bottom, the stairs give way to a large chamber. The floor isn't completely solid, but appears to be made of a web of shifting, web-like energy suspended over an abyss. But you can tell it's safe to support your weight - there are several large, humanoid statues in the distance. As well as two people.
One is a young girl, probably no more than 13. She's actually hovering a bit above the floor, dressed in a long black dress with a frilly white apron tied with a large bow, white stockings, white headband with large skull ornaments on either side. White hair in pigtails, red eyes... and her ribs are exposed. Oh, jeez, you can see her lungs moving inside. That's not right.
The other is a girl just a few years older. This one's in a black-and-white schoolgirl outfit with tall stockings. Her black hair is set in pigtails that curve back up like a pair of scythes. This one is laying on the ground, seemingly unconscious as the younger girl floats closer.
"You'll make a fine slave," the maid-looking girl says. "Now..."
"Get up, Kid! Come on!" a deep, masculine voice shouts, seemingly from nowhere.

Gee, I wonder if that Nun actually did go get Natsumi or not... She's taking forever...
Kai decides to silently walk forward. Then peacefully make himself known. "Hello, I'm Kai! Who are you?" He is careful and gets ready to dodge or reflect an attack if necessary.
Tai
Tai sighs. "Listen, I want to help, I really do, but my friend is in danger as long as she's with this guy. He's such an asshole."

"I am Marie. Are you another fool come to stop me? Or have you come to join me?" You feel something poking at your mind. The same as when you reach out, but backwards. Weird.
"Don't listen to her! Get out of here!" the masculine voice calls.
Tai
While talking to Tilly, you glance over her shoulder. You see Natsumi walking past off in the distance. With a nun?

Kai smiles charmingly, showing off his picture perfect teeth. He gently places a hand on Marie's shoulder. "Your mistress, I am here to work with you. I shall assist you with my talents, if you should do the same for me..." Kai pours back influence into her, about the same amount she's using on him, just to make it fair.
Tai
"Fuck! There's Natsumi! Come on!" Tai shoves his way through the crowd. "NATSUMIIIII!"

"I'm not interested in anything besides wiping out the thieves and corrupt nobility of this world." She glares at you. The two of you seem to be evenly matched.
"Dammit, kid, making a deal with this jerk's going to end bad for you!"
Tai, Tilly
While Tai starts yelling, several people turn to stare at him. Natsumi - Tilly assumes - pauses and waves at him. "Hi, Tai. Can't talk, gotta go," she calls, before continuing along with the nun into the next room.

"Did you say thieves and corruption?" Tilly asks. "That's the sort of thing we're interested in wiping out! Have you seen my friend? I want to find him so we can wipe out thieves and corruption."

Kai ignores the guy. "Well, I am certainly equiped to help you on such a holy mission. In fact, I can be very helpful, and I believe that you can too." Kai smiles, his expression charming but strained. He shoots her up with influence at this point. "Maybe it'd be best if we helped each other out."
Tai
"Damnit! This is so fucked." Tai does his best to shove people aside to get to her. Going qs fast as possible.

You start to leave. "Good luck!" the witch calls as you go.
Move to Mushroom Castle Town Square.
Tai
You start shoving your way through the crowd, then you feel something grab you by the collar and hoist you up. The witch flies you just over the heads of the crowd. You head into the next room just in time to see the nun unlocking a door with a key while Natsumi waits to be let in.
Kai
"And what exactly did you have in mind?" she asks.

Kai smiles, a charming smile full of chaos and malice. "I will lend my talents to you in your pursuit of destroying corruption. I will act complacent, but I want to be your right hand on this crusade. We can purify so many corrupted souls with our combined ability. "

Tai sprints, drawing his guns. He uses Dark Lasso, aiming to grab at Natsumi and restrain her.

"Hm. My last 'right hand' betrayed me. And I expect my current will do so any day now." She thinks for a moment. "Very well. A test, then. Go to the castle. Bring me the head of anyone who calls it home. Servant, guard, the princess. I don't care which."
Tai
The witch tosses Tai down to the ground and he lassos Natsumi. She launches a shoe into the air as she plops over onto her butt. "Hu- OW!"
The nun calmly re-locks the door and turns to him. "Is something wrong, child?"
"Yeah, Tai, what are you doing!? I need to get to Master!" Natsumi demands. She sits up, arms pinned at her side. She wriggles a bit, but doesn't seem like she's really struggling to get free.

"No. Now go. Do not return until you've succeeded," the woman orders.
"You're making a mistake, Kid," the disembodied masculine voice says.
Tai
"She did what!?" the red witch demands.
"We needed money, Tai! We need supplies and we have to eat and-"
"SHUT UP!" the witch yells. She grabs her under the chin and stares into her eyes. "Now hold still."
"What are you doing?" the nun asks.
The witch says a few words that sound like gibberish, then stands up. "She's not under any kind of magical mind control, but that doesn't mean she's not hypnotized or something. I can try to snap her out of it, but it'll take a few minutes."
"Let me go!" Natsumi demands again.
"I must insist you cease harassing this young lady before I'm forced to stop you," the nun says with a hint of malice in her voice.
