Tilaran looks at the job board (which is in the first post of the thread).

You walk up to the adventurer. When she notices you, she turns around and briefly looks you up and down. "Hello, sir! Can I help you with something?"

"Ah, of course. Let's see... I'll give you the same advice Guildmaster Sounders gave me," she says. "Don't bite off more than you can chew. You can always retreat and come back another day or get help or something, but if you die that's it. If you aren't sure you can handle a job, don't take it."

You ask about shards.

"Mmm, I saw some offered as rewards for jobs, but I'm not sure what they are? I don't think I've found anything like that."

Philemon

The lady cocks her head. "I believe it's somewhere to the south, but I fear you may be a bit confused, sir. That mission is in the forest, which is to the southeast, I believe?"

A pair of people emerge from the temple. They seem a bit strange - not like the others. One's a blond-haired teen male that looks like a total prep. The other is a black-haired female wearing a skirt, flip-flops, and a blouse with a brush in the breast pocket.


Kai

You and Natsumi step through the building and immediately step through to a completely different area.

The people here are mostly like the ones hanging around the temple you just came from. Some are short with mushroom-like heads, while just as many are human-sized, but with pointy ears. Only a handful of animal-people are here.

A statue in the middle of the place shows three beautiful women surrounded by seven stars with human faces. Six slots in its base glow in six colors: green, yellow, light blue, purple, dark blue, and ?#*%?.

A path leads up to a giant, stone castle. To the north are a lot of buildings, an open field to the south, a large church-like structure east, and a sea to the west.

Also a small bakery is getting a surprising amount of traffic.

A blonde-haired young woman in a bonnet, a frilly dress, and high heels is standing in front of a large board prominently displayed on the edge of the square. A thin, red choker is tied around her neck, and a rapier hangs from her hip. The back of her hand is marked with small tattoo shaped like a wing. She's currently speaking with a tall, thin man with black hair and a teenage girl with brown hair and greyish skin.

"Hey Natty, let's go to church, alright?" Kai smiles and takes her by the hand gently yet with a firm grasp, heading towards le church.

"You've got to be kidding me," Tilaran mutters. "They went into a Church? Now I know they're up to something!"

She runs after them, and after a moment of silent contemplation, I run after her.

The young woman you're riding with stops and hovers to make sure you're still on the broom. "Is this your first time in the Light World?"

The witch nods. "Don't tell anyone I said this, but I definitely prefer it here. The air feels warmer. Lighter. And I don't have to watch out for as many bird laguz when I fly. Ah, right! Sosa!"

The fox jumps down and starts sniffing around, then turns around and yips.

"Nothing... He lost the trail." She looks around. "Any ideas where he might have gone? Otherwise we'll just have to start asking around and hope we get lucky. Unless you're carrying one of his personal effects?"
