You guide the ship towards the island with the crystal formations. Nyl hops off ahead of everyone else, flying the last short distance. When you disembark, she's poking at one of the larger ones close to the entrance with a knife. "Interesting resonance... Hey, you. With the sword. Try unleashing some magic against this thing."
"Huh?" Lagos asks. "Me?"
"Yeah, you. Come on."
"OK, I guess..." Lagos hefts his giant sword. A section near the hilt starts to whir and hum, then glow. "Flame... DRIVE!" He slashes towards the crystal, shooting fire towards the crystal.
The crystal quickly changes in color from pale pink to bright pink to red, all while vibrating louder and louder. Nyl shoves Lagos back and raises one of her wings over her face. The crystal produces a large explosion of flame, then returns its normal state.
"Fascinating," Nyl says, lowering her wing. "Did everyone- ah?"
Another, smaller crystal, caught in the blast of the first one, begins to vibrate and turn red before unleashing another blast of fire. The smaller explosion hits several other medium-sized crystals nearby, which start to turn brighter pink... then stop and slowly fade to normal.
"I see!" she says.
"Did... you know that would happen when you asked me to hit it?" Lagos asks.
Nyl wags her finger at him. "Of course not. But the second rule of dungeoneering is figuring out what you're up against."

Malefio: "That was... Dangerous... But at least I know I can use those as a source of energy... If I find more stable crystals that is. So we're looking for a labyrinth right? Anyone sees an entrance?"
Malefio looks for an entrance. Send Weasel throught it if he finds one. With Nyl's actions, Slimex will use Sense Evil.

Do not remind me about that game. I was so close to finished when the data wiped. It upsets me.
Also I had to break out the RIFTS rulebook to remember how that particular Sense Evil works, there's so many that work in different ways.
Malefio
The entrance is pretty obvious, and just a short walk away. It's formed of a very large crystal, the size of a large shed, with a sharp gaping entrance leading to a sharp downward slope. It's a good thing you didn't set that off.
When Slimex uses Sense Evil, he detects one source of evil, a powerful one, and very close by. Right in Nyl's direction.
She turns around, dusting off her demonic wing before looking at you with that normal easygoing smile. "Lesson learned! Ready to go, everyone?"

X before he gets to far from the water will use his water ability to cover his left arm in water. That way he has a source of water with him while exploring the cave.
So one question before we go Ms. Nyl.
Did the crystals explode because of the fire magic? the fire its self? Any form of impact at all?
Kinda of curious before we get to deep in there.

Nyl shrugs. "Probably the magic. Maybe a strong enough impact could trigger the effect?" She looks at Bowser. "Why don't you try hitting one, you big lug?"
Weasel heads inside. At the base of the ramp, he finds a large chamber with a half-dozen of those crystals along either side. A trio of creatures are crawling around inside. They look like lizards, but the size of dogs, and with necks the length of their body.

Bowser doesn't like being ordered but he can't pass up the urge to punch crystals.
Bowser punches a crystal as hard as he can.
So Mally did Weasel find anything interesting?

Bowser punches a crystal. It doesn't start vibrating or anything. It also doesn't crack, break, or give at all. He just hurts his hand.

Bowser glares at the winged lady and grumbles about her being just as bad as the other winged lady he dealt with.
"Well at least we know that you can kinda of go all out,". "Just watch it with the flame breath,".
Bowser just grumbles about something or other.
"Well Malefio ready when you are?" X cracks his knuckles and stretches.
X sends Chill King Boo to investigate what lies ahead.

You send the ghost in. It finds the same chamber with the weasel in it, and the three lizard-monsters. The monsters don't seem to care about either of them as they gnaw on one of the crystal clusters.
Nyl takes Bowser's punching hand. "Aw, poor, grumpy guy. Need me to kiss it all better? Sorry, but the healing spells are reserved for serious boo-boos." She gives it a little kiss. Then produces a deck of cards from under her goofy hat. "While we wait for Mal to get ready, how about some fortune telling?"

The problem is if they're done eating when we come back..."

You proceed into the giant crystal and down into the dark cavern. You can barely see, other than the faint glow of the crystals in chamber below. Nyl snaps her fingers and produces a small ball of light that follows over her shoulder, but you still have to stick close to be able to see well enough to not stumble on the ramp.
When you reach the chamber, the lizard-dog-snake-beasts all glance your way. Lagos hefts his sword and prepares to fight. But, as predicted, they shortly go back to eating.
There's only one path out of here, straight ahead.
Before you can continue, you notice Nyl heedlessly marching towards one of the creatures. "Hello, there! Aw, you're a big, scaly sweetheart, right?"
