As you walk inside, you're greeted by Somnis' back. In the center of the room you see... someone. She's dressed like a belly dancer, her face hidden by a veil. If you hadn't seen Mareena coming in, you might have had to think for more than a second. She's staring at Hinoh, who is looming over her from inches away. Whatever conversation they were having is cut off as Mareena turns to face you. Hinoh acknowledges you with a quick glance before focusing back on Mareena.
"Somnis! Dewey!" Mareena calls out cheerfully. "How nice of you to join us. Come in, make yourselves at home. Just stay out of the basement and Hinoh's bedroom."
Hinoh's expression is one of annoyance.

Dewey more closely examined Hinoh’s expression, trying to tell if she’s annoyed at Mareena or him and Somnis.

Hinoh looked annoyed when Dewey got here, so the annoyance is probably directed towards Probably-definitely-Mareena. Though Hinoh doesn't look thrilled at the new arrivals. After a moment, Hinoh's expression breaks. "Somnis? Somnis?"
Somnis waves. "Hi, Hinoh. Long time, no see."
Hinoh slips past Mareena and walks and weaves over to you, head ducked throughout the charge. Then stops and stares, examining Somnis from inches away. You notice Mareena give a small wave as she ducks through one of the doors to the side. Hinoh, still staring at Somnis, doesn't notice. At least the annoyance has been replaced with curiosity.

Dewey points at the door Mareena went through and sighs.
“I’m going to keep an eye on Mareena if the two of you don’t mind, letting her wander about on her own seems like a bad idea.”
With that he walks over and goes through the same door.

You follow Maybereena through the door. Hinoh glances at you as you go, but then goes back to Somnis.
As you enter the door, you find yourself in the library. Dozens of bookshelves several feet tall line the walls, with a few more standing two stories tall in rows at the center of the room. You can see a staircase at the far side of the room heading up to a balcony circling around the room. Another door to the side heads back out to the main hall. And you assume there's two more doors up on the 2nd floor also heading out to the main hall.
You don't see Totally Mysterious Dancer at first, then she twirls out from behind one of the bookshelves in the middle. She shoves a rolling ladder to get it rolling, then clambers halfway up as it slides. "Let's see... Ah-ha!" she says, snagging a book as she glides past. As the ladder hits the end of the row, she hurls herself from the ladder and up to the balcony. She swings herself up and vaults over the railing, then pauses and leans against it. She snaps open the book and starts flipping through it.

Dewey’s eyes light up at the sight of the library, an idea quickly forming in his mind.
“You know, you might be on to something here.”
Dewey searches the rows of books, looking for one on the history of the Other World. In particular he’s looking for any info about the history of the elemental souls of any recorded event of them being used to stop some sort of disaster like Mercia is trying to do. If he can find any time that the Other World almost disappeared like she claims is going to happen, all the better.

You search for a history book. The problem is that you find an entire history section. There's so many books, you don't really know where to begin.
While you search, you glance up and notice your mysterious friend has disappeared.

You pick a random book and briefly glance at it. It's something about the Forest of Winds. You call for Mareena, but there is no answer. You hear the sound of a door closing up above.

Yes, the stairs in the back. Or going out to the main hall and using those stairs. Or theoretically pushing one of the bookshelf-ladders up against the edge.

“She gave me the slip in the library. While I look for her, do you mind if I take this book about the Forest of Winds with me? I’ll return it before I leave tonight.”

"She's-" Somnis says.
"Please don't take the books out of the library, please," Hinoh says.
"Yeah, that's what I do and Hinoh absolutely hates it," a female voice you don't quite recognize says.
"Don't take the books out of the library, please," Hinoh repeats. You don't think Hinoh's talking to you.
"Oh, don't worry. You know I'll bring it back as soon as I'm done with it," the female voice says.
"Wait-" Somnis calls out. "Aaaaaand she's gone... Over."

Dewey puts the book back and lets out an annoyed sigh.
“Alright, where are you? For that matter, what are you even doing here?”

"You... asked me to come...?" Somnis answers.
"I live here, live here," Hinoh says.
"We're still in the entrance. But if you were asking that other girl, she went back out through the port- ah?" Somnis stops talking mid-sentence.
"Oh... Hey," another person you don't recognize says. And you don't think it's just because of the radio's quality, you haven't heard this voice before. "I wanted to stop by to talk to Hinoh, but I'll just... come back... another time."
