Character: Ganondorf
Apperence: Default Ganondorf TP/Brawl/Smash 4
Power up form/(Persona??): Classic Ganon (Trident, fire bats, invisibility)
Backstory: Died at the end of TP. Was revived by Tabuu, but recruited by Master Hand for SSE. Tabuu's army tried to recruit him again, but after Tabuu's previous betrayal, Ganondorf refused, responding that he'll be the one to rule the world.
Traits: Seeks the ultimate power and won't share it with anyone, but he'll make unlikely allies if it's in his advantage.
Other Aesthetics: Uses the Sage Sword fir his Smash attacks instead of Ultimate's sword.

I have a question on gaining canon abilities.
Is it based on progress or do we need to find hidden items?

Rainbow shards are what will be used to help enhance your characters (in a sense giving you more abilities or allowing you to customize your character). They can be found throughout the story (most commonly by defeating a boss) or by doing missions or defeating a tough foe.

Question.
Assuming that this boss fight me and Mal are in will reward a Rainbow Gem for each of us and that Yuga isn't going to escape to become a recurring villain (if either of those aren't true then disregard the question), would it be possible for me to instead swipe Yuga's paintbrush as my upgrade (while changing it back from a trident in the process)? The new ability learned from it could be wall merging while also replacing most of her normal attacks with brush swipes and Phantom Slash with a painting of a Hylian Sword Knight that works the same way, and it would also make coming up with new abilities for later Rainbow Shards easier by doing things like giving her more summons (starting with the lance, bow and flail knights then going from there with whatever else seems interesting) along with things I already had in mind without it (a healing spell, the real version of Din's Fire, maybe the Light Arrows much later).

While we're on the subject of the Rainbow Gems.
I don't know how many we'll get and at which frequency, but I was wondering if I reach a point where I get all abilities I listed in my loot topic, could I pool in the abilities of the blights from BOTW?
That'd be to avoid picking "immune to everything that isn't a weapon of evil bane", cause I think that's cheap, even for the endgame.

Yeah there will be no ability like immune to everything that's not evil's bane because that's completely game breaking.
How to put it so there is no spoilers. There will be plenty of opportunities to get rainbow gems and there will be plenty of time to get all your abilities. It will appear to be one thing but there is a lot more going on then what's being presented right now.
Some will be unlocked right off the back in accordance to the character.
Something like expert horseback rider is not something you have to unlock because it's part of the character. If it's something the character has readily access to and isn't too game breaking early on then yeah they have access to it. Let me look over the ability list and I can then just tell you what you have access to without having to unlock it.
As far as having access to blight abilities again that's up to the player.

I actually like your idea Fuzz. If you want to have Yuga's paint brush as a reward for this boss fight then yeah it's your. The thing is Yuga is reoccurring if you and Mally would have been seperate. Yuga would have been introduced as your boss and Zant would have been Mally's boss. The fact your together means that both of your bosses showed up at once. So Zant, Yuga, and a third (maybe 4th) party that hasn't been introduced yet. The intro bosses are all bosses that will appear in their respective chapters. They are not winnable in the traditional since. Even if you do technically "defeat" them they still aren't technically dead. They would just give you a glimpse of their final form or another outside force would step in to stop the battle. Pretty much the idea of the story is that all the bosses/ villains that aren't in Smash (for the most part) have teamed up as part of someone's army to take over each respective world. |

Oh also I do plan on opening a Vitcoin shop too but that wouldn't be until the intro of chapter 1.
Also an in-game shop will be opening to buy all sorts of thing.
